Yes, stereotyping is acceptable when it is in 'positive' not 'negative' form' but that's human nature, people only want to hear nice things.

I think stereotyping is quite a normal human reaction,. How many times do you hear the term 'Don't tell a book by it's cover'.

The link is good natured, humorous stereotyping and how any offence or negativity could be applied to it goes over my head to be honest. Not that the OP was remotely trying to imply in either direction it was negative, or positive, it was a general question asked which is interesting.

soontobe What do you mean, you don't have much of a problem with stereotyping? Do you mean you don't mind being stereotyped yourself or you have no objection to it happening to other people?

As for the article, it's just silly.

Sounds as if Mexican men are simply perfect. Sweeping generalisation which is as just bad as the opposite to me.

I dont have much of a problem with stereotyping either way.
