New Years eve

Hey we all made it .well done. I spent NYE stacking and un stacking the dishwasher and hoping everyone would get up in time for their flight.

I've felt very cut off from my family this Christmas, but have been invited over to my sons tomorrow and we've had a nice evening at the cinema tonight [albeit watching a somewhat harrowing film]. I've been saying for several weeks that I want to New Year to arrive and, blow me, here it is. Onwards and upwards ladies [and gentlemen...]..now going to have a glass of advocaat! And possibly watch a couple more episodes of Game of Thrones...

I have leaking eyes for your good wishes and thanks to all.

Hugs from me too to everyone who is lonely, worried, or afraid of what the new year may bring. Nothing is too trivial or too awful that the burden cannot be shared and perhaps a crumb of comfort given. Sometimes I do think it is best that we cannot see what fate has in store for us, but good or bad, there will always be a shoulder to cry on, a sympathetic ear and maybe a wee laugh to ease the tension.

I am watching The Help - again - it is an excellent film. And we will be abed before midnight I expect.

And special wishes to anyone on their own tonight. May the New Year bring good things. I am hoping things will go better for us and for all those for whom 2014 has been a challenge.
