Perfumed drinks

Once upon a time I would have said Cinzano Bianco, but these days as a non-drinker, it's an elderflower presse.

I can and do drink Pernod, but I prefer Ricard: a bit rougher.

I had my very first hangover courtesy of Bicardi and Coke. Even my mum was sympathetic because I was only 14 and it had happened at a family Christening. She thought I was being given my usual very weak version but my cousin who was mixing the drinks was giving me a normal version. Before anyone realised the mistake I was twelve sheets to the wind. I spent the night being sick and omg in the morning I thought I was dying. Mum even let me stay in bed rather than go to school and that was unheard of. We went to school no matter what was wrong with us. Her view was that you couldn't take time off work just because you were ill so you shouldn't get into the habit of staying off when you were younger and you certainly shouldn't have time off if your suffering was self inflicted.

I have never touched Bicardi and Coke since. Even the smell of it makes me feel sick. Talk about aversion therapy

Whilst my tipple of choice is Bicardi and Coke I do like a Brothers Toffee Apple Cider if I fancy a longer lasting, quenching drink.

Pear Cider is rather nice too.

I like Lapsang Souchong occasionally but champagne / Cava / Prosecco with peach liqueur (bought in France) is brilliant. Is that what you meant by "Creme de Peche" kitty? Framboise is excellent too.

nankate, it is quite difficult to find unless you go to an independent off licence but it is definitely worth tracking down. . I think it is available online too!

I don't drink alcohol. I have never found an alcoholic drink I like the taste of. When I was in my teens/early twenties I drank because everyone did but then I grew up and realised I didn't have to lol.

I live on diet coke, water and instant coffee (I don't really like fresh coffee).

I used to drink wine and lemonade to be sociable because a lot of people can't understand why I don't drink but I was told off so many times for adulterating wine that I stopped. No great loss as far as I was concerned lol.

Not sure the French citizens of Alsace would take kindly to Gewurtztraminer being described as a German wine, although a little is grown in Germany.

Can't abide gin, but the odours and flavours of Islay malt whisky are in a class of their own.

I think that gin is revolting! Sorry Marelli! My favourite drink is fairly tame, but I love my port with lemonade.........in a half pint glass. I`m also partial to pear cider, particularly Stella, and also lager and lime.

Oh, I do like a gin and tonic occasionally.
I also like Earl Grey tea.
My favourite Christmas drink is Cool Swan cream liqueur. (Or Baileys). We only ever have these at Christmas!

Gin is the only drink I've come across which I found truly abominable - the smell and the taste! Don't know about its effect as I only managed a small sip...

You should have persevered Nankate

We make Bellinis with Creme de Peche which smells quite nice but tastes fabulous.

I don't like perfumed drinks as I have a very 'strong' sense of smell and I find drinks like Earl Grey are too 'smelly' for me! I don't like fruit teas either.

I only had gin once when I was about 18 and my legs went from under me I felt sick as well.
