Can you connect it to your computer with the short connector flex that came with it and access it that way.

I had a 520 until a couple of weeks ago, when I dropped it and cracked the screen whuch then would not respond. I could still see some of the functions, couldn't use it to phone but I did manage to transfer my photographs. If they take it away to fix it, the first thing they do is to delete all your personal stuff - phone numbers, photos, One Note and so on, so I hope you have your phone numbers somewhere else.

If you can get an upgrade to a 530 it is very similar but with imnprovements - better camera for one thing.

Um, lead to connect to laptop......now, where would that be, hmmmm

Some things which I know have worked for others:

Phone your supplier's helpline
Google the problem
Switch if off and on again
Leave it for the battery to run down and then plug in.
Take the battery out and put back in.
If all else fails do as elegran suggests and then find the reset button and press it.

Nonnie thank you have tried Google, I cannot switch it off and on again it's dead. I had it on this morning, I hadn't turned it off but now I can't even turn it on. It's as if the battery is completely dead but I know it's not.

Plug it in anyway, nothing to lose but take the battery in and out first.

I had a problem with mine this morning because it was doing an update and froze. I couldn't switch it off but DH managed to and then the update got going and it finally sorted itself out.

Nina Do you have a Kindle with a connector? Standard USB one end, mini-USB the other? Probably white flex, if it is like my Kindle? Or one for anything else - just plain flex with the USB and mini-USB each end, no adaptor thingies if it is going into the computer. That is the same kind of connector. I use them interchangably.

Contact wherever you got it from - they may be able to help.

USB connector thingy usually comes in box with phone, or you may have one with your camera?
