If I let Lucy have her way, that's exactly how it would be Dusty it would go nicely with the blue foot!! grin

Nina think that 'puthery' is peculiar to this area. It means warm and damp, it really summed up this morning here. tchhmm

Back in Portugal today, lovely bright sunny day, considerably warmer than when I left Surrey yesterday. We were lucky with the weather in England this trip, crisp and clear most of the time and no early morning waits for public transport.

Kitty' I have visions of toes decorated with tinsel and holly berry red nail varnish. tchgrin

Welcome lapinsgran nice to meet you. tchsmile

Roll on the shortest day (my birthday and have always felt short-changed!), hate winter and the dark and cold, definitely a sun lover!

ninathenana Wed 17-Dec-14 12:14:37

Oops sorry, welcome lapinsgran tchsmile

ninathenana Wed 17-Dec-14 12:13:21

Good morning all. Welcome lapinsgran hope you stick around.

It's wet and miserable here in N Leics and I have a hygienist appointment. I went for one last week only to be told that she didn't do hand scales only 'supersonic' ones so I had to rebook with a different person - A MAN! tchshock

This afternoon I've off to get my toes done in readiness for Christmas tchconfused

Enjoy your days everyone [tchsunshine]

Good morning all. Misty damp morning here in East Northants but some blue up there as well. Enjoy the day.

Wet and windy here in North Devon, I'm supposed to be going to Launceston today, but wondering if part of the route might be flooded (again!)

Google "Dipper Mill" and you might see what I mean!

annodomini Wed 17-Dec-14 08:41:29

Good morning - have to see the dentist for check-up. Weather is just as Lona has said!

lapinsgran Wed 17-Dec-14 08:16:05

Good morning Mick and everyone. I'm a newbie to this site and have been checking out the forums. It all looks such a good place to be. I'm a grandma to wonderful twin grandsons who are 13 going on 30! They live in France so that makes a good excuse for a few holidays! Now they are old enough to travel on Eurostar alone I get to have them on their own sometimes.
It's a damp but slightly warmer day here and I'm off out to post Christmas cards and get last few presents. Have a good day all.

ninathenana Wed 17-Dec-14 08:14:59

Morning all.

Damp here after quiet heavy rain last night.

Going to see the latest Hobbit movie tonight.

Brendawymms Wed 17-Dec-14 08:14:04

Good morning all.
It's a good job we are nearly at the shortest day and it will begin to get lighter. Hate these dark mornings.
Calm and dull in East Sussex.
It's nearly 'C' day for me a turkey comes out of the freezer tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone.

Lona Wed 17-Dec-14 08:08:56

Good morning, it's mild damp and very dark here, or am I just up earlier than usual?
Last exercise class of the year, so more chat than work, then coffee.
I had a good sleep (without a pill) so I'm feeling quite chirpy!

Have a good day tchsmile

daffydil Wed 17-Dec-14 08:02:32

Good morning everyone.
Like Oldgreymare I have been awake for ages and like printmiss slept badly plus I have done my first lot of exercises as prescribed by the physiotherapist to ease a stiff back, Oh and the weather's not great either. Mild but very murky. Things can only get better. hmm

PRINTMISS Wed 17-Dec-14 07:44:08

Good morning all, really hot overnight, after the cold night before and I slept badly. The morning is dark but dry and I am off to another morning at the Regis Centre to help with the Postcards from the Edges exhibition which was a bit of a disaster yesterday, but we live and learn, it was the first attempt. Enjoy your days.

thatbags Wed 17-Dec-14 07:42:42

Morning folks! A fresh, windy night here, which I was glad of as having a draught of fresh air through the bedroom meant I could breathe through my head cold a bit easier.

Oldgreymare Wed 17-Dec-14 07:37:04

Good morning Mick and everyone who, like me, has been awake for ages!
Got the worry beads out so am writing lists.

loopylou Wed 17-Dec-14 07:26:18

Good morning Mick, blowing a gale here in Wiltshire and lashing rain too. Dog wants her walk.......

Kiora Wed 17-Dec-14 07:24:18

Good morning michael. I'm able to post because I'm up early. I had to put my husbands socks on this morning. He's hurt his back but is soldiering on and going to work regardless. It's too dark to see exactly what's going on weather wise but it's mild and a bit dampish ( probably no such word)
[shrug emotion] must rush or I'll be late and I'm sneaking out to see my little grandson who's joseph in the nativity. Not sure if he's got the part because he's littler than the rest or that since his grommets were inserted 2 months ago his speech is improving and they want to boost his confidence. Me I think it's because he's the loveliest little lad in the worldwink
