How quickly they forget!!!! The tower has hosted a luxury dinner for arms dealers, £240 per head.... words fail me!

I got my poppy less than a week after they were removed. I too got an email last week!

FlicketyB Mon 15-Dec-14 13:20:53

My email came out of the blue as I wasn't expecting to receive my poppies until after Christmas, although I realise that some are being sent out already.

Grannyknot

Thanks. I think I will make contact about the delivery now.

I love mine. I think the slight crack and fading adds to it's appeal. I expect that those who have been in the moat longer will have suffered most.
As for delivery I had a tracking email from Yodel in the morning and it arrived in the afternoon.

pogs I also got an email and mine was out of the blue. Since then I've received an update email.

I quite like it, very stylish and understated:

Bit pricey but I see they make a donation to the BL.

Flickety

May I ask if you received an e.mail because you were following the delivery of your poppy, or did you just get an e.mail out of the blue?

Only asking as you will have noted I too am awaiting a delivery and I am wondering if it pays to make an enquiry.

Grannyknot Sun 14-Dec-14 20:40:28

Thank you Susie I shall investigate, I like the sound of that.

FlicketyB Sun 14-Dec-14 20:07:39

I bought four, one for each member of my family who died in WW1. I have yet to receive them, although I have had an email confirming that they will be coming.

janerowena Sun 14-Dec-14 14:45:11

Thank you grannyknot. I shall tell my cousin.

I haven't got mine yet, but looking forward to it. There is a small company which makes stands to display them for £19.99 I heard about them on the radio. If you google ceramic poppy stands you should be able to find them

I haven't received mine yet. I plan to stick it in the middle of a large leafy plant that we have in our living room.

Grannyknot Sun 14-Dec-14 08:59:38

I'm still waiting for mine (and looking forward to receiving it), so don't want to know about the bad reviews!

Jane there is a process 're damaged ones:

"If your poppy was broken in transit our Customer Services team would be happy to look into this for you, please contact them at [email protected] with a photograph of the damaged poppy placed on top of the box if damaged. If you poppy is missing please have your full address and any reference numbers. Owing to the limited number of poppies we are not able to replace poppies damaged by accident or misuse once received.

For replacement poppies we can arrange a collection and send out a replacement poppy. The replacement poppy will be delivered after Christmas.

If you are a consumer and not a business, you are entitled to a refund (including outbound postage and package charges) in the event that you don’t want us to provide a replacement".

I love mine! I'm trying to find a way of displaying it but will wait till after Christmas!

Teetime Sun 14-Dec-14 08:35:25

My friend has hers - she said they were caked in mud but I saw the process on TV where they were being cleaned and repaired before being posted.

janerowena Sat 13-Dec-14 23:36:44

One of my cousins ordered two, both are chipped and cracked, I thought some of them would be. Another cousin's is perfect. MiL's is, too. Luck of the draw I suppose.

POGS Sat 13-Dec-14 23:33:29

Still waiting for mine.

I must asdmit I am not expecting too much.

newist Sat 13-Dec-14 23:21:39

I am delighted with my poppy, its bigger than I thought it would be, the box and booklet with it is much better than I expected

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Dec-14 23:16:37

The money went to an excellent cause. grin

(what did they expect from a ceramic poppy?)

ginny Sat 13-Dec-14 23:11:57

A couple of my friends have received the ceramic poppies they ordered. . The overall display was magnificent and hopefully raised plenty of money for the cause. However I am not impressed by the the individual poppies. Any thoughts ?
