Oh A that is sooooo disappointing and distressing. Still the silver lining is that you can have a relaxed time in the lead up to Christmas!!

Good morning, everyone! It is another beautiful day here in Bideford.

I am recovering now from being told, yesterday, that my hip replacement operation next Wednesday is postponed until early January sad I did cry a bit - every present is wrapped, every card sent and I was SO looking forward to getting rid of this awful pain. #feelingverysorryformyself

However - it is postponed because of emergencies - I think that is likely to happen in Orthopaedics and Trauma departments. So I do understand, though it is still a disappointment. I am now heading for possibly my most organised Christmas ever!

And I would still praise the local NHS for everything else.

cloudy this morning near Brighton and no frost but sun has come out now and clear blue sky.

Off to London tomorrow to Albert Hall and Christmas Music, staying overnight and to see the Elvis exhibition on Monday - mostly for DH, hoping then to take the boat to see some Christmas markets on South Bank and outside Tate etc. but train ticket is at 3pm as only £5 so a bit annoying.

Morning all.

I found it odd that the Good morning Friday thread is still on the active page and yet this thread had dropped off so to speak.

It's a lovely bright sunny day here just a few wispy clouds.
DH is clearing his junk tools from the garage today (he uses it as a work shop in good weather) so I can start putting the car away. From reading the paper today. It might not come out much till spring !!

Bright and frosty here in Melton Mowbray. I'm a bit cream crackered after a stressful week so it might mean a restorative in Wetherspoons after a visit to the market. Hope you all have a good Saturday tchsmile

Morning from the north west where everything is covered in frost, it looks great, especially as the early mist has cleared leaving us with a bright, sunny sky.

Clear, frosty and bright this morning in N. Staffs. Lodger dog is circling so off for a walk in a mo. I WILL FINISH THE CHRISTMAS CARDS TODAY!!!!

Morning all! Coldest overnight temps so far here and a constant quick change of cloudy and sunny. An achey night for me with my "bit of a cold" that decided to affect my lower limbs.

Morning everyone. Just had a quick fall of sleet now the sun is shining. Planning to sort out decorations which magically arrange themselves next week grin. Why is it always my job?

Good morning from Cheshire. There's a hoar frost covering the garden and the car. My thermometer says -2. I might get the chance to wear the furry hat I bought last winter and never needed!

daffydil Sat 13-Dec-14 09:25:31

Lovely in our part of Essex too. Have taken the opportunity to change bed llinen and get it out then I must do something towards writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents.
We wll be at daughter's for Christmas day and son's on Boxing day so I do not have to worry too much about food.

baubles Sat 13-Dec-14 08:46:35

Good morning all. We have another cold clear day. The sky is pale blue streaked with pink.

Morning All. Snow? Thick snow Thistledoo? A white Christmas for you then? Oh, I'm so glad I live in dry Norfolk - it's just very, very cold and frosty here. And bright. The long range forecast is apparently for a really cold winter with blizzards. Hopefully on present form that means a calm mild winter!

I'm on duty dressed as a Victorian maid at Blickling Hall (NT) today - thick tights and lots of thermal wear underneath!

Happy Saturday Everyone! sunshine

It will be good if the electrician turns up at 9am!

PRINTMISS Sat 13-Dec-14 08:30:29

Good morning all, we were promised thick frost but thankfully not the case, just really cold and dismal. Love the story of your cat Thistledoo. I remember our two kittens treading VERY carefully over that cold stuff, and then when they happened to flick a little in the air, turning frantically to catch it. Terrible time wasters they were! Enjoy your days.

ffinnochio Sat 13-Dec-14 08:28:41

Good morning all. A damp, muggy, grubby and grey day. Sluggish, if one can describe weather that way. My least favourite type of day. Hoping for a nice patch of blue sky later.

Thistledoo Sat 13-Dec-14 08:03:23

Oh gosh I have made it to 2nd place in the good morning stakes.
A very good morning to all fellow GNs, woke up to a thick covering of snow, very cold and grey looking. What a shock for my poor cat, he couldn't understand what had happened to his world. So funny.smile
