Could be worse my DGD sat and picked her nose last year.

Oh - these poor things! The boys often seem less into the whole performing stuff than the girls. My GS (5) who has a brain like a planet and is one of these children who is brilliant at everything, is quite hopeless in his play, just gabbling his words and trying to get them over with. So far he has not picked his nose! - but I do remember a lad on the autistic spectrum at our local primary school who clutched his genitals throughout!

My nephew wanted to be a fire engine but there wasn't a fire engine in the play so he had to be a reindeer. Not deterred every time he travelled crossed the stage pulling Santa's sleight he shouted 'Nee Naa Nee Naa....'

Good for him VQ. A friend of mine had 2 sons in the school play, one was Joseph and the other the innkeeper. When Joseph asked if he could come in his brother said 'Yes'. Since then their uncle has used it in his stand up show.

Our DGS,aged 7,was a reindeer in his school production last year, and fidgeted so much that he fell off the stage and fell into the group playing recorders below. Luckily they were all fine. (Much laughter from the audience though).

Funny! All have made me chuckle.

Faced with the reality of all those expectant adult faces, stage fright sets in for some [others become little show offs. like my DD when young.]

Our local primary school thought it was a good idea to replicate the fire on the hillside with an electric Magilog - this was in the early seventies. The shepherds were pretending to warm themselves when the Three Kings trundled on including DS wearing a very long cloak. As they departed to follow the star, singing 'We Three Kings', his cloak caught in the fire and he managed to drag it across the stage, complete with extension cable and a couple of plastic sheep.

Good job it was only the log effect bit that was switched on

At one of my DD's school pantos the prince said:"Take this slipper and see whose fit it foots." Brought the house down.

When playing Joseph, aged 4, my son had to hand the baby Jesus over to Mary. Unfortunately Mary was far too interested in waving to her parents to respond, until after several attempts at getting her attention a healthy whack with said baby brought her mind back to her maternal duties. .

Merlot - always worth a second look that one!

DD went to GD's (aged 3) ballet show yesterday. GD danced the first dance but then turned into a statue and refused to budge or speak her lines. The others all had to circulate around her.

At the end, the teacher stepped out and said brightly 'Isn't it amazing how the one who never stops talking or moving in class is always the one to refuse to do so on stage?'

These are very funny.

Last year I went to GD2's concert and it was hilarious from start to finish, there were parents clinging to each other howling with laughter. DIL made a video so we could all watch it again, tinies are so entertaining, bless them.
