Great sympathy, Crow. Airports! I hate them at the best of times.
And sorry about your son; This happened to my son too, and she left the children with him as well and never returned, so he raised them alone.

Someone on here once told me the source of the saying " parents are only as happy as their unhappiest child". It is as true today as it ever was.

Seems to be the norm these days, Crow. As DH said the other day, after a mercy mission to fix DD's blocked toilet, 'I thought when I reached 70 they'd start doing things for ME'

crow . I was naive enough to think that my children would grow up and be happy for the rest of their lives. Since realising that isn't necessarily so, I have really struggled at times to come too terms with not being able to "fix" whatever is wrong and restore equilibrium ad quickly as possible.
