Tomorrow 27 September, George Clooney gets married, Gywneth Paltrow is 42 and I am 68.

Anyone else have cause for celebration this weekend ?

I have already cracked open a little snifter, together with a rather nice plate of sushi. grin

My DGS is two. I have just made his birthday cake, the kitchen has been covered in chocolate all day. I got in a bit of a mess.

This weekend is hectic!

DSiL had her birthday on Thursday, Saturday is my brother's birthday and DGD1's party Sunday is DGD's actual birthday and DS2's birthday, Monday is DGD4's 1st birthday and DBil's 66th!

My only celebration this weekend is that our little DGS who has had a bit of a rough start at 'big school' at the tender age of just 4 came home today with 'STAR OF THE WEEK' carrying a big big bear to look after for the weekend. So proud of him as is his mum and dad.

Happy Birthdays to all.

I've had a special day today. Out with DD3 to choose and buy her wedding dress. Very emotional, tissues were required.

Well done to your little lad Flower.

Thanks Holly had a lovely day with lunch out in Windsor. It was so warm, just felt like summer.

How lovely Ginny to see your GD in her wedding dress.

I'm so grateful to have my DH at my side and some lovely friends who have sent fab cards. Long may it last. It's so easy not to appreciate what you have got whilst you have it.

Wonder if George Clooney has enjoyed himself as much as me. hmm

I'm not surprised ginny - my eldest GD has been with her boyfriend now for about 3 years and I can see things are heading in that direction. If she asked me to go with her (and she'd better grin ), I think tissues will be needed then as well wink

* HollyDaze * She looked so beautiful and that was without her hair and make up being 'done'. Goodness know what I will be like on the day !

HollyDaze Sat 27-Sept-14 22:45:33

I'm sure she did look beautiful ginny - I'm also equally sure that packet of tissues will be out again on the big day grin you must feel so proud of her, big softies aren't we!

I got told on Friday that we are moving in a fortnight, so celebrations here too after 18 months of waiting to find somewhere. So busy time ahead but very exciting too, hence posting at nearly 6 am! I can't sleep for things going through my head and feeling like Christmas has come early. grin

Congratulations on all of your good news everyone, have a fab Sunday. smile
