Congratulations Alie and a loving welcome to your new grandson
Hope your DD feels better soon.
Do you shower in the morning or the evening?
Hello and a warm welcome to you lovely lot. I'm about to brew a fresh pot of tea and there are plenty of goodies for us to munch on...
Congratulations Alie and a loving welcome to your new grandson
Hope your DD feels better soon.
AlieO Congratulations! Wonderful news. Hope you all can relax a bit now and enjoy the new arrival. Have you given him a cuddle yet?
for you all.
First of all many congratulations on your new DGS and to your DD who I hope is beginning to feel a bit better. Thank goodness for medical care in an emergency- I often feel the proponents of home births assume everything will.go smoothly and at the end of the day a healthy baby and healthy mother are what matter! Glad she is not being turfed out too soon too- best wishes to them and to you!
AlieOxon Congratulations We are awaiting pictures names and weight as soon as possible.

Thanks all.
No name yet, weight was 8lb 2oz (I don't do kg)
Pictures, I hope I will be sent soon!
to all!
Congratulations Alie and DD
Alie That is a fair weight for your new grandson- no wonder your DD is exhausted. At least she appears to be cared for properly.
to all.
Bella I can understand why you may feel hurt but have a word with your DD, I am sure that she is trying to give yourself and DH some space. You need a longer spell in the kitchen where you can relax and chat more- you are going through a harrowing time with not only your DH ill.
Woopy! Or should it be Whoopie? Never mind, I'm adding my congratulations to your daughter and you, AlieO A bouncing baby boy has joined the clan. Lovely jubbly
and
in abundance.
Bella I also think that your dear daughter is thinking of you and your husband right now. The distance between you is in order that you have more time to relax and enjoy some much needed peace and quiet. You know that she loves you both. This is her way of showing her concern. A very big, warm, gentle hug from me to you. x
It is a glorious day in bonnie Kintyre. There is barely a breeze and the sun is shining from a cloudless sky. I must add that it's also nippy with it. I'm wearing extra thick socks as my toes suffer from the cold.
Last night we were sitting on the sofa alongside Rory when a wee mouse made a hasty entrance and an even hastier exit.
Did Rory show any inkling of being concerned/interested/bemused/? Nah! He stretched and yawned. MacS asked for a humane trap at the shop. Apparently it only stocks inhumane traps. We came away empty handed. The wee mouse will be dealt with when we can trap it and release it on the outskirts of yonder fields.
Congratulations Alie; I've been thinking of you throughout the night. So glad that everything has gone ok'ish
.
I have been back to bed for a bit! For some reason I am tired.
I discovered last night that an 8lb baby is just about the limit of what I should carry around...
J's partner is there just now.
J says, thanks for all the flowers.
Hearty congrats AlieO to you and your family on the safe arrival of a lovely baby boy. You must be relieved to have him here at last
Thanks for the hugs and to all who think my DD has our best interests at heart, but I am afraid she only pleases herself. The latest is that DD3 has also moved in with her so we now have a totally empty nest. I have no objection to them going but the way in which it was done showed, in my opinion, a total lack of respect for their father and I. We have always gone out of our way to support and help them, but you would think we were the worst parents on the planet.
Anyway, good thing my anti-depressants have rendered me unable to cry. I am concerned only for my DH and my sister and have no energy left for selfish adult children
Alie Just seen the news, many congratulations to you all
I'm sure you're all tired but elated that it is over and you have a lovely dgs.
I'm feeling rather stressed again as my dd and sil have been having nasty threats over the last few months, and a particularly nasty one has threatened my dgds this week.
The CID have taken this one very seriously, it's all very upsetting.
Thank goodness dd has another house and will be moving soon.
Bella I'm so sorry to hear that
, you don't need this additional upset.
Alie congratulations to all! new babies are wonderful. Bella commiserations! I also have offspring who also often put themselves first. And Lona how dreadful and worrying for you all. I sometimes pray at night for some peace of mind.I will include you all tonight and for everyone else who needs it. I think we are all under the old Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times".
Alie, congratulations and well done to all! My 5th, and last, baby was 8lbs.2oz.
Believe me Bella, they will need you and DH a lot sooner than you will need them. I know you are hurting at the moment and don't need this and there are so many swear words going round in my head at the moment on your behalf. No doubt you will have heard, "I'm an adult now" well, let them get on with it and you and DH concentrate on each other, the ones who appreciate the love and support given. Honestly, there are times when you could bang their heads together to knock some sense into these so called adults. So
for you but I hope this evening you both take a deep breath, share a glass of wine together and enjoy the peace and quiet you deserve. X
and ((((hugs))))
I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through just now Lona. I don't know what sort of low life would threaten children but I hope the police are able to deal with this swiftly. The sooner your DD moves house the better. I hope she is OK until then. ((((Hugs)))) for you too.
Bella. Hope we are still on for meeting on Dec 2nd?
I'm really looking forward to it as the highlight of my cruise.
Allio heartiest congratulations to your family.
Soop trust you're looking after McSporran properly A!
Alie congratulations to you and your DD and SIL on the new arrival! Hope she feels better soon.
and [champagne]
Bella Just carry on being your nice self, they may be sorry and ashamed of themselves if you say nothing but will feel perfectly justified if you try to talk to them about it. Easier said than done I know
Thank you all for your support. I'm over it really. Shakespeare had it right when he wrote 'How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a thankless child'
Galen of course we are still meeting on the 2nd. I thought you might like us to give you a drive around the island followed by a light lunch at our house, although I confess my cooking will not be up to much after you have been enjoying the cuisine on board ship
Well, it is almost 6pm here so I'm off to pour a glass of
. You are all welcome to join me. Cheers!
A bit early for me yet.
Oh, the moon's up - bright, large and glorious in a clear sky so just a small one then
Bella that sounds perfect. I'm allergic to eggs but all I'll need is something very light. Can't wait to see you. I'll pm you my mobile number later ( ie when I can find out what it is
)
Congratulations to alie and family. I hope your DD has been feeling better today.

bella, sorry to hear of your sadness over your daughters' behaviour. I hope you feel better soon too. You have enough to cope with at the moment
.
Don't forget to get some photos when you and galen meet up
Angry doesn't quite cut the mustard. Where does that saying originate? What I really mean is that you, Bella and your husband, deserve so much better...I'm fit to spit tacks right this minute. I shall join you and dear Lona in a glass of
. How is it that some people consider it fine to go around hurting others, including children, in such a cruel and pointless way. I hope that the CID get this sorted ASAP.
Galen I'm a little envious that you will be getting together with our Bella. I bet you'll have a super time. Do take photos.
Yep! I'm taking the best possible care of MacSporran. PLEASE let there be a referral to the haematologist within the next few days. I sense that my dear man (like me) is a tad anxious.
Time to feed both cats. Tortoiseshell has triggered the sensor light and Rory is wearing his "what about my supper" face. Dear of him
Night bags - I'm looking forward to having a meet-up.
