Good point well made there henetha.

"I am the master of my fate.
I am the captain of my soul."

you can hear the anthem here

Watched it and found it inspiring. I so admire the brave men and women who refuse to be beaten by their injuries. Well done, Prince Harry, to have this idea and follow it through.
The Invictus poem sums it all up so well. I'm going to quote it out loud when I start feeling sorry for myself for my trivial problems.

I can only find one hour of tv coverage today

Well done to everyone involved, I say. What a moving evening, and I thought it was great to see Prince Charles sitting next to Harry and obviously talking about all that was going on - showing a real interest in everything, which is what he does quite a lot I think. We shall be watching as much as we can of this event (on t.v.)
They all deserve as much support as we can give them.

So very brave. So very sad. Heroes all, including Harry.

Couldn't they have done that with the Red Button so we could see the rest?

Icyalittle Wed 10-Sept-14 19:59:54

Will be watching the Games themselves too.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 10-Sept-14 19:59:35

Well! Shame they had to leave it there. hmm

Icyalittle Wed 10-Sept-14 19:55:35

Good speech from Michelle Obama (on camera) And now Harry.

I heard Harry talking about why he had commissioned these games earlier on the radio and was impressed by the way he put it across.

Not watching though.

Anyone else watching this on BBC1? (One Show special)

Prince Harry looked quite emotional when the slogan, "I Am", was spelt out on the ground.

Those blokes are amazing to have got back up like they have. So brave.
