Help and advice needed please oh wise ones. My DD and her son have lived with us since GS was two and a half, following my DDs divorce. He is now nine, and my DD has gained a degree and now got a good full time job so the time has come for her to regain her independence and move out. The problem is my GS doesn't want to. I fear he knows which side his bread is buttered as he has a very comfortable secure life with us. We are in a large house with a large garden and a dog and he will be moving to a tiny house with a tiny box room bedroom (he is in a double atm). Obviously I am talking very positively about the move and how he will still come round every day after school and be here in the holidays, and how it is the right time for his Mummy to make a lovely cosy home for the two of them, and that it will be an adventure; but he claims that is an adventure he doesn't want. He is a lovely child, but doesn't do change very well. What advice can you give please to make this transition easier for him (and us!!). Thank you x
