I recall a 3 day course (20 years ago) on working with perpetrators of csa. One of the 'types' identified was the charming, well liked, professional. Within days of this course, our well liked, much admired primary school head teacher was suspended as a result of historical allegations from a previous school. He wasn't prosecuted, the CPS felt it was unlikely two teenage girls, one of whom had received psychological support because of the alleged abuse, wouldn't convince a jury that such a well respected, likeable chap could possibly have abused them.

Some years later, several other victims came forward. The outcry in our area against his suspension, the support he received from the majority of parents had silenced these children.

Part of their modus operandi is to be popular and well-loved. Perhaps there is something in their past which confuses being well-loved as people with sexuality?

Stuart Hall was enormously popular as well

Jimmy Savile was a national treasure as was Rolf Harris!

There was even a disclaimer beside it saying that it was just questions.

A lot of unconnected statements about Cliff, politicians and the Krays, and burbles about dead eyes. How the blazes can they pretend that they have made a video which could prove anything? If all this comes to nothing, they would be in line for a libel case - Oh no! of course! They will point to the disclaimers.

This is not even mudslinging, it is manufactured shite. If there is any evidence, it should be sent to the police, not photoshopped into a nasty piece of propaganda.

I wouldn't watch that video on principle, having seen what website it's on.

vampirequeen Tue 02-Sept-14 19:16:46

I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty but that video was nasty and obviously photoshopped in parts.

Lona Tue 02-Sept-14 19:07:44

Not in my book feetle!

Elegran Tue 02-Sept-14 19:05:50

National treasures are not immune to badness.

Even "national treasure"s aren't above the law... and in this case I would question the description! Does singer of pop equate with national treasure?
Really?

rubylady Tue 02-Sept-14 18:24:11

I've just looked at "Does this video prove that Cliff Richard is a paedophile? Look it up, it is interesting and if true, would blow the whole thing apart.

Soutra Tue 02-Sept-14 18:15:40

PM has admitted they "mis-spoke" and the reference was to the police raid on his flat - they have apologised.

petallus Tue 02-Sept-14 18:04:29

I just can't believe Cliff will ever be arrested. Too much of a national treasure!

Ana Tue 02-Sept-14 17:58:16

I think they were probably just talking about the questioning of the BBC and S. Yorkshire Police by MPs today over their handling of the raid on Cliff's house...

suebailey1 Tue 02-Sept-14 17:33:53

Cant be long though.

Galen Tue 02-Sept-14 17:33:06

It was on the wireless.

Charleygirl Tue 02-Sept-14 17:15:52

I googled his name and I discovered that the arrest was false. Admittedly this was from the Sun so who knows?

kittylester Tue 02-Sept-14 17:14:46

I saw it on BBC news on my phone but it's gone now confused

sunseeker Tue 02-Sept-14 17:12:03

Where did you hear that - it's not on the BBC news website or Sky news website.

Ana Tue 02-Sept-14 17:10:48

Are you sure, Galen? hmm

Galen Tue 02-Sept-14 17:05:56

Just heard he's been arrested
