Silver Surfers

I've just checked it out and I do like the short story being able to be published. It's on my list of things to do in my 50's.

I just had to have a look. Not a very active site and nothing on there for me. Gransnet is the only site that I use and I am sticking with it.

Gransnet doesn't describe us as 'Silver' anything. Its the silly euphemism 'silver' when they mean older or mature or retired that gets my goat, not age related sites per se.

Had a quick peek and ended up doing a non-member dating search. I didn't fancy any of the matches found!

How do you cope with GRANSNET then Flick, that is age related surely.

I wouldn't join anything that talks about 'Silver' anything to do with age.

Yes, I have the message Nonu and have replied. It may not be frowned upon on this forum (I'm still getting to know the site and this is one thing I don't know the rules about) but as I gave a big clue in the post, I may be joining you on that norty step

There are a couple of very good forum for the over 50s (those that aren't grandparents may feel they can't join this forum) and I belonged to one for a couple of years that was very busy - quite a few Australians on that site that were very funny and often made us laugh.

The name would put me right off so sorry no interest at all.

I've just been for a nosey too nina and they don't seem to be quite like us, do they.

I hadn't heard of it so I've just been for a nosey. The most recent post I could find was 2days ago. Most seemed to be 2wks + Not spontaneous enough for me.
Also I admit I didn't check for mobile format but what I saw wasn't good when viewed on my phone.

Just had a quick look - they have a quiz! I do love a quiz!

I found it particularly disappointing. As you say an awful lot of adverts, specially for holidays of the expensive kind, but not a lot of information.

There is nothing of interest on it for me. I receive frequent emails from silver sulrfers.

Never heard of it.

I'd seen the advert for it on Facebook but I didn't like the name.
