20 weekends or 4 pay days to Xmas!

Got my wife/kids well trained, Xmas lists contain web links, all shopping done on line 2 weeks before the date, plenty of time to get them delivered and wrapped. Can't cope with Xmas in the summer.

They're late this year then. Last year it was July when I got my Lifeboats catalogue! Nothing yet.

My niece is very proud that she has done almost all of her christmas shopping, she says it saves the bother of doing it later in the year when the shops are busy.......... She shops on line

Are Easter eggs in the shops yet?

I bought some mince pies a couple of weeks ago from asda and they were Christmassy wrapped with snowflakes on the carton. Ive started xmas shopping just because it spreads the cost over a few months. I too hate the music and the decorations before December, I don't put up my tree till a week before. But wont it be Halloween before xmas, where I live as soon as the schools go back asda is full of goolies and ghosts etc.with xmas things slipping is quietly by the backdoor so you don't notice at first

Should be banned until after 11th November.

It doesn't stop people buying presents if they wish but I don't liketo see shops full of Christmas decorations in September.

Synthezised and americanized Christmas music in shopping centres make me feel really sick- and I just have to get out. Which is why when in the UK I only go Christmas shopping in small county towns!

If I was in charge ….. there'd be no Christmas advertising until late November and no Christmas music in any shops until early December. I'm being generous with early December, I'd love it to be confined to the 12 days before Christmas.

Shhhhh everyone....here in deepest Herefordshire we get very little to bother us until at least November!!

Must say this is one thing I really do NOT miss from the UK (and I do miss many things, and people)- here Christmas preparations start mid November- and (bliss) there are no adverts on TV for toys, etc.

My DD was asking just yesterday if I had any idea what I was thinkng of buying the DGC for Christmas. I've no idea!! Christmas is too far away to be thought about yet.

How about returning any catalogues that you receive before the end of September?

Noooooooo, don't wan't to hear it, Christmas is months away, we are still enjoying our lovely summer. Banish all thoughts of it until Autumn at least, and that's way too early.

On Saturday when picking up birthdays cards the shop was full of C-------s cards and gift bags tinsel and 2015 Calendars. ggrrr.

And apparently Selfridges has today opened its Christmas Store...
