Yes my garden is the same I think it was the winter rain coupled with some rather lovely weather during the spring and early summer. Plan to have a major cut back starting in September and a re-plan of the garden. Want it to be very pollinator friendly and also easy, so more shrubs may have to introduced.

Another divine day.See what looks like a family of shiny black crows every day in the same place - on short grass poking around. Mum and Dad looks stouter than the young rather like us really!!

Grandson opted to stay home today so only cooking for us. Will begin to pack the top box today to spread the load over 2 days.

Good morning, sorry I'm late - thought I'd get the ironing done before I melted. grin

It is baking already in North Leicestershire but, on the upside, we are going to have lunch with some old (in both senses!!) friends by a river in Warwickshire. Downside, as they as DH's friends, I drive. brew

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine again!

Every shrub and tree in my garden is so overgrown that I don't have to look far for shade. I'm going to get my lounger out and hope it hasn't gone mouldy over the winter.

Same in south Cheshire. B hot! I sat on the bench in my back garden enjoying my breakfast. When it gets too hot I will run for cover.

So far I have found the weather bearable. There been a good breeze as well.

anno We oldies have to be so careful in this heat don't we? wink

annodomini Wed 23-Jul-14 09:26:16

About 7 miles from Lona! Just put my head out of the back door to put a paper in the recycling bin and it's already not just warm but hot. Sounds like another day for sitting in the shade with a good book - maybe a little siesta too.

Glad to hear that Ariadne sunshine

Another scorcher here in Cheshire, far too hot for me yesterday so I'm not joining in with my exercise class today in case I burst into flames!

Just going to slowly mosey down to have coffee with them all afterwards smile

Gaga that sounds like a lovely evening, enjoy it.

Happy days sunshine

A beautiful morning down here in Devon! My eye is getting better and better too. Feeling good!

Brendawymms Wed 23-Jul-14 08:37:19

Cloudy start this morning here in East Sussex. Want to get a paddling pool for my dog but they are as rare as hens teeth.

HollyDaze Wed 23-Jul-14 08:29:05

Very sunny here with clear blue skies and already extremely warm.

I hope you all have a lovely time tonight Gagagran smile

Morning Mick and everyone.

It's another scorcher already here on SE Hampshire coast. Isn't it funny how quickly you start to long for it to cool down?

It's my choir summer social tonight in a nice garden, which was part of the local cottage hospital until it was closed. Fortunately the garden is tended and makes a very pleasant private space to meet in. There'll be food and drink, lots of chat and maybe even a song or two! Looking forward to it.

Happy days everyone! sunshine
