I've had great difficulty - all the floors have got a long way away, and my back hates twisting to use the big hoover.

It is quite overcast in North Leicestershire this morning and a little fresher.

Clearing out and cleaning kitchen cupboards [yeuck] to make way for DD's cake making stuff - there is flippin' tons of it!! Then I'm off to explore the new Lidl - bet you all wish you had my exciting life, don't you

Before all that though I am going to twitch some net curtains (if I had any) to see what is going on with the house over the road. I hope the new people don't find it as entertaining to dance and sing on the roof of their car at 3 am as the last lot did

DD1 is going, as the extra adult for one of 'her children', with a party of children from her school to an adventure hostel near here and was not too put out when the venue said they couldn't accommodate her overnight. So we have two daughters staying tonight .

Very warm and sunny again here on the SE Hampshire coast. Just been to the library and got collared to fill in a petition against moving it from its present, very convenient, central position to a more remote (cheaper?) location. As one irate library user said "Why can't they ever leave anything alone?" Indeed!

Glorious day here after the tropical rain of yesterday. Lots of plants got bashed down, and I had to plough through wet growth.

Much fresher with a north wind. Looking north this morning on our walk heavy cloud but looking south over the sea blue sky and white sails on a blue sea.

Waiting for eldest grandson who is cycling to us from his home village Steyning. Plan to go into the loft today and get the surfboards down plus anything else he doesn't feel too old for!! They are old enough to have stand-up lessons now so that means yet more surf boards!!! Still I will use the body boards.

My birthday - and I have already had it!
Saturday my sister took us to the Barley Mow in Clifton Hampden - good food and very interesting building.
Yesterday I was supposed to see my daughter, but with the heat neither of us had the energy.....

Sister gave me a robot hoover!

Gardener is here and grass actually needed mowing this time - we've had very little of all this rain.

Some cloud, but feels warm.

Another sweltering day here in NW London. I am not sure if I can take many more and I am just doing the bare minimum to keep body and soul together.

Good moring Mick anbd all the Granspals gorgeous morning here in Northumberland. Already very warm, 26°c in DH's greenhouse. Not quite that outsde of course. Washing already well on its way. Would love a trip to the seaside if himself is up for it later.

Feeling fresher this morning thank goodness, and the sun is getting ready to appear.

Lovely sound of running water when I was sitting in the back garden this weekend...............turned out to be the toilet cistern overflowing!
My neighbour is hopefully going to replace the valve tonight as the water is flowing onto my flat roof, and I'm getting nervous!
