Now we are on our third thread of limericks shall we up the stakes and try and include within the line either a colour, animal or number.

Some clever minded Gransnetters may be able to do this cryptically (I am not sure if that is the right word to describe what I mean).

E.g. 'The robber done/dun me over officer' not grammatical I know, but you get my drift.hmm

AlieOxon Sat 02-Aug-14 14:34:13

MiniMouse Sat 02-Aug-14 15:49:35

So it's black skies and rain together.

papaoscar Sat 02-Aug-14 16:51:17

Two red roosters were strutting about

FarNorth Sat 02-Aug-14 17:03:59

Two Redcoats were walking their poodles (clue:Butlins)

AlieOxon Mon 04-Aug-14 13:06:29

(Teach your granny!)

rosequartz Mon 04-Aug-14 13:09:41

Whilst eating a pot of green noodles

(that is probably not at all what papa had in mind but I can't read his mind) grin

papaoscar Mon 04-Aug-14 13:25:50

(RoseQ, I wasn't sure that younger GNetters would know about Butlins and couldn't think of anything else to add at that moment. The thought of two Redcoats braced to walk their dogs against the cold wind at Skegness just came to me, I know not why, as we never went there. Probably that old poster of the red-faced sailor. And poodles? Dunno!)

rosequartz Mon 04-Aug-14 15:59:52

papa I'm old enough to remember Butlins - but never went there! Still going in Minehead I believe!

Anyway:

The dog had a lick
