Now the World Cup Footy is finally over can we all get back to normal?!
So many replays of That goal, so many articles on it all, pages and pages of whatever paper you read.
I love to watch other sports and Wimbledon was fantastic, the Test March is for those on Sky, the Tour de France here was fun and now its great to watch them travelling all over France, at times. Sailing, Rugby, I could go on but a little less football would be good too.
What do you think? grin

I totally agree - lets have some good TV - some Drama and I long for a play- not long until The Proms.

Many couches must be wondering what's happened to their potatoes!

Yes, back to some good drama like Happy Valley and Broadchurch would be ideal smile

Am I the only one who thinks the World Cup trophy looks like an Aldi easter egg that's fallen off the shelf?

We've got the European Games soon. It's not that we don't like sport, but........
Yes, merlotgran, it does. smile

Good drama usually comes back in the autumn when families return from their holidays.

I am looking forward to the Commonwealth Games.

Is it? Is it really over? You wouldn't toy with an old man's emotions, would you?

Of course just because we get our TV channels back we are not assured of anything worth watching - that is anything not bloody competitive! I shall march with a banner with a strange device - proclaiming "Entertainment, not competition" and I shall probably get bored with explaining what it means, so I won't march after all. I'll just sulk until Doctor Who starts up again.

Meantime I suppose back will come Come Dancing, and Master Chef (Zimbabwean version) and Upper Silesia's Next Supermodel.

Thank heavens for Netflix and my Tivo recorder. I'm thoroughly enjoying Orange is the New Black Season 2 on Netflix. Apart from that, as anno says, there'll be sod all worth watching until October. Sport, as you may have gathered, is not my thing.

My trouble is I do not "do balls" All of the mains sports on the TV seem to include a ball of some description, then they have to be hit, kicked, thrown or batted, I keep waiting for someone to invent something new, to do with "A Ball" grin

And before we know where we are, the football season will be starting up again, oh joy!!

annodomini Mon 14-Jul-14 17:02:49

About three weeks from now, I believe, number!

I'm glad it's over. Tonight's tv was great. The soaps, and Long Lost Family. I feel I'm getting back to normal.
