I think you have a point about DH being depressed about the future. I know he worries about how we will cope without him. He has always been so good at solving all our problems and I think it is frustrating for him that he has a problem which nobody can solve.
Yes, life can be a bitch. Much as I am longing to see my DS on Monday, she has already told me she thinks it will likely be the last time we see each other. She has terminal breast cancer which has now spread to a gland in her neck causing extreme pain on swallowing, and they have more or less run out of treatments for her. It is unbearable but we have to bear it whether we like it or not, I suppose.
No, you are not stupid. It is hard to realise that we are not the indestructible beings we have always imagined ourselves to be, but are mere mortals all in the same queue!
Like you, I try to find joy in the little things and I thank you and all the other Gransnetters who have been so supportive.
