Sunny morning in north essex but storms expected later.

Quite bright here in N.Kent. A child free day for DH and I. I think a restful day in the garden is called for.

Although it is bright in NW London it also looks as though rain may tip down fairly soon.

Grey here, and rather damp and misty. Had a couple of really good storms yesterday afternoon. I was at Blickling Hall and the moat (now a dry garden) got decidedly soggy. The forecast is for more rain today too.

Cooking for a quiz and pud evening this evening. Bang goes the diet - again.

Good morning all, I think the rain is going to miss us, and we have a bright morning on the coast again. We are off to lunch with friends for our 'Fifth Thursday' meet up - it's a long story. Enjoy your days.

Morning all. Some black clouds gathering here on the SE Hampshire coast so I suspect we might get a few much-needed showers today.

DGC stayed over last night and are due back home at 10.30am (DD is very precise!) It will mean waking the sleeping beauty DGD who has suddenly turned into a teenager who likes going to bed late and sleeping in late. I remember those days well. Funny how it changes. Now I like going to bed early and getting up early!

Cool and overcast here on the Isle of Man. I put my dogs in kennels so that I can paint the back door and the gates at the bottom of the drive (both need to be left open till dry) and here I am, rabbiting on Gransnet instead

Not very nice here in Buckley, Flintshire......dark, cloudy, stormy conditions forecast for later in the day.

Just had to send my Tax details to my wife Ellie in Illinois. She's starting an online degree in Creative Writing at South New Hampshire Uni.

Although disabled like me she makes use of the computer. She used to teach piano but now does free-lance articles for an online publisher & get a few $s here, a few $s there & a few $s more to supplement her pension income, just like we do here!!

The College wants my tax details before giving her a 100% grant.

She's had one little book published, 'Berryville Bully'.

It all started one wet Sunday afternoon here. Outside our rear window is a large red berry tree. We started to name all the types of berries we knew & their colours. Ellie then started to make up short childrens' stories about families of berries in the small town of Berryville. She sent one to a publisher & had it printed. It's now in the Library at ISU, (Illimois State Uni).

Hot but windy here in Istanbul. I have bought up the Turkish Delight shop so I am extremely happy. £4 about for 1kg of the stuff. Oh bliss. I would share it with you all if I could.

Phew just made it started off sunny here in N Ireland then the clouds arrived but now the sun is out again. DD,SiL and GC all off on holiday this am to the coast so hope the sun stays out for them
