Recovering from having the family for the weekend to celebrate DS's 40th birthday today. I wish I could have those 40 years all over again with all the highs and lows.

Good morning from another lovely morning on the south coast. Off to the tip (oh joy!) to dispose of all the garden cuttings - the result of a hard weekends work. Enjoy your days

Morning all, it is a bit dull here in NW London. My council does little but it does pick up grass cuttings and left over food from the brown wheelie bin.

Sorry I'm late in but had to be 'busy-busy' doing 'stuff' & getting my head organised & into gear........I have bad pollen allergies this time of year!!
Hope you all had a nice weekend. I did. Had 2 hourly 'Skype' sessions with my wife Ellie in Leroy, Illinois. She & our daughter Laura been v.busy getting rid of 'stuff' older than 6 months old & never used & were also trying to get me do same. No chance I'm afraid!!! Sat out in the Sun instead! Ellie planning to be back here in Wales by October so perhaps I should start organising our flat here in Buckley, Flintshire.

Morning all. Another glorious day here in SE Hampshire - just "perfick".

We are off to the well known car accessories/bike shop (H......s) this morning to try and persuade them that DGS's bike, bought for Christmas in November 2012 is faulty. He has only just started riding it as it was too big for him last year but the gear changer on the handle is jammed almost solid. I am not optimistic that we will get anywhere but DH reckons it's worth a try. Failing that we'll take it to the local bike shop to see if they can fix it.

DH brought it to our house to try and fix but can't hence plan B!

Brightening now but rain is forecast every day this week! Just when I thought we'd have time for a trip out on our little new-to-us boat.

Cloudy with some sunshine trying to break through here in Northumberland. Going to steam clean all the hard floors this morning. Going to try and get ahead with the housework as tomorrow I'm taking my 90yr. old Dad for his opthalmology appointment.

Lovely sunny start again here with temperatures already at 19 degrees. Just back from dropping my car off at the garage to be fixed and waited for new gardener to turn up - a no-show ; why can't they even have the decency to telephone and let you know. When I've calmed down, he will be getting a phone call!

A fairly bright day here in North Leicestershire but rain is forecast for later in the week.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving for DGD4 yesterday but it was flipping hot!! I am pleased to report that the Idiot did the decent thing and stayed away though that probably upset DD3.

Today, I am trying to put the house to rights - I'm not sure what happened but it looks a tip.

Good morning all, another beautiful summer day here.

What a day yesterday was. The plasterer arrived bright and early, all living room furniture that couldn't be moved elsewhere was piled in the middle of the room and covered with dustsheets and I ended up eating my breakfast sitting on my bed.
Never mind I thought, I'll spend the day on GN. Then the electricity went off. Thought I'd have to keep an eye on the battery. Then the internet went off as well.
It's a good job the weather was good. We all spent the day either outside or on sitting on a dining chair in DD1's tiny kitchen.
The plasterer did a grand job but he is coming back this evening and then next weekend to finish and do the hall stairs and landing.

Today should be better, DD is working from home later as she is looking after her 4 month old niece. She has taken her in to work at the moment.
I've been promised a cuddle.

Glorious day again here in Devon. I have defrosted the freezer in the kitchen, and am now ignoring all thoughts of the big one in the garage...

Good morning from a cloudy north east. My angel of a hairdresser has agreed to come and do my hair within an hour. I am on standby to return to Bedford so have got to get myself sorted.
