Good afternoon everyone, much better weather today in the south of Portugal. Bright, sunny and very still early this morning. The wind is blowing up a bit now, it always seems to at lunch time.

Gagagran I hope your daughter and husband enjoyed themselves and had reasonable weather.

I've not long come back from visiting BiL who is improving a lot but said he didn't think doctors should spend any more money on him. He is looking very tired but much happier than he was. His son is doing a grand job.

Phew. That was hot. Dunorlan Park was looking lovely in the sunshine and there were about 3000 runners / walkers / joggers, so a complete sea of pink around the lake. It was 26 degrees and there was lots of pollen around, but we did it in about 45 minutes allowing for queues through the narrow bits.
Now enjoying a beer.

Good morning from the sunny north east. When the rain stopped last night we had a fabulous clear sky and saw the ISS pass overhead. Off to see GC this afternoon.

Fabulous day in London town. Waiting for my two DSs to arrive and put up an awning at the back of the house. No doubt I will have to provide bacon sarnies before work begins!!

A glorious day here in NW London, may we have many more. I am waiting for the builders to finish off the painting of the recently plastered ceiling. I am also expecting a Sainsbury delivery this pm. Otherwise I will be sunbathing in my garden, me in one chair, Tara my cat in the other.

Good morning everyone, and the sun is shining. Hope it is not too hot for you Mamie good luck with the run, and that you Nankate find a little breeze for the kite flying. We managed to have a lovely afternoon yesterday for bowls, not too hot and just a little wind, we all thought we were going to have the awful storms forecast, but these were overnight instead. In fact one of the shops just down the road from us was struck by lightning, and we heard nothing of the storm that caused that - sleep like logs. Enjoy your days.

Sitting here with the windows wide open listening to the countryside going about their business.
Getting over pneumonia (only slight thankfully, caught early) and feeling better every day.
Looking forward to some gentle pottering about in the garden, with lots of sitting in the sun in between.

Warm and sunny already in North Leicestershire and we are expecting a flying visit from DD3 and the children (she appears to have gone back to the idiot ) and then DS1 is coming for lunch (at 5pm!).

Hot still and sunny here this morning. DGD2 playing happily with her mum's old dolls house, and her dog (they come as a pair) has a bone on the mat. Perfect. If only they hadn't woken up at 5.30.

Morning all! The end is nigh! Our 4 day in loco parentis comes to an end early this afternoon when DD and DSiL return from their short break in Portugal. I now need one of those myself! But the sun is shining and we have managed just fine on the whole. Happy days everyone!
