(Just looked at the details of the cottage. Brilliant conversion and great it's a holiday cottage - it's made to be shared -too nice for just one family!)

I never win anything except, since joining GN, I 've won a picture , tasted chocolate, tested serum, had a steady supply of books both for me and the DGC and had a lovely holiday! sunshine

Just to say a huge thank you to you all for the lovely week's holiday DH and I just spent in North Wales.

Some of you will remember that I won a holiday with Sykes Cottages here on GN.

DH and I came back yesterday after a fabulous week in a cottage which overlooked the Menai Straits and, despite the fact that I don't do self-catering grin, it was fantastic!

I had lived in North Wales when I was a child, in fact two of my brothers were born there, but had never had the chance to look around properly as whenever we had been previously we had children with us grin. We saw all the sights including Beaumaris (loved it), Bodnant Gardens (fabulous), Penrhyn Castle (strange) and the Ffestiniog Railway (not as good as I remembered especially the man leaping all over the carriage taking photos angry)

We went to see the hotel my parents owned and wished we hadn't. It has shrunk and looked really rundown sad.

Luckily, we were within striking distance of Waitrose so the self-catering thing was easily solved.

Again, thank you so much GN - it was great! flowers
