Best wishes Bella xx
My garden has been ruined by ????
Hello yet again to you lovely lot. The Champagne is ready. Do hope that I shall be welcoming you very soon.
Best wishes Bella xx
Good to hear treatment has started, Bellasnana. Isn't it always the case - pick a meaningful day and put a damper on it. I hope you're able to get some enjoyment from your birthday
Bella I wish your dh the very best and send you strength and ((hugs))XX
Marmight Re potty training, my dgs is 10 and still in pull ups at night time! No one can seem to get to the cause of it, which is a shame.
His little sister stayed with me on Saturday night and was extremely proud to do a huge wee in her potty, for the very first time!
Just watched the lovely Roger win his match, and now waiting for Nadal.
Pass the strawberries please
Bellasnana
Good to hear from you with an update.
All very tiring for you both but hopefully 'a means to en end'. It's amazing how we suddenly develop a sort of life style by the sheer drudgery of the routine of it all isn't it. Keep your chin up.
Thinking of you both.
X
Bellasnan - all good wishes for your DH''s successful treatment. ((((hugs))))
And from me
Beela it is now a long haul, fingers and toes crossed.

Very pleased to hear your DD's good news, Dragonfly
Thank you all for your kind thoughts. We were up with the lark as DH had to be at the hospital for 7am. Needless to say, we sat waiting with three other gentlemen until around 8ish, but never mind, he's installed and hooked up to a saline drip to start with. He will be in hospital for five days and this will be repeated every three weeks for five months.
The hospital is a relic from the colonial era and doesn't look as though it has been updated much since then! The new, state of the art, oncology hospital which is being built doesn't look as if it will be ready any time soon, so it's Hobson's Choice. Staff all very pleasant and caring so that's the main thing.
I rather wish they could have picked a different day to admit him, though. Today is my birthday (58) and tomorrow my darling sister should have been turning 62. She's been gone eight years now but I miss her more than ever.
Anyway, lots of love to all Granspals, and thank you all again for your support
DGD of course
Oh dear, a lot of you seem to have been in the wars and, yes Galen get yourself off to the Doc!
I am waiting for Marelli to arrive. It is a glorious day and I have promised her an ice cream on the beach if she is very good
. I got home a week ago and have been going through the awful settling in period again; lovely to be back amongst the old familiar but horrible to be alone after such a busy family time. Lovely to have DD2 and DGG3 here for a brief time from Oz but so sad to see them go. You can't have it both ways I suppose. DD1 will be here at the end of the month for our village Festival which will be fun and something to look forward to.
Interesting to follow the potty training chat. My 3 girls were all done and dusted, day and night before they were 3 so I was lucky. GS aged almost 3 doesn't want to know but proudly announces when he has performed which is usually after the bath when the clean night time nappy has just been put on! (little b******r). As I say to his Mum, rarely does a child start school in nappies, so there is hope........
Lots of
today for us all I hope
I go off for a few weeks' holiday - taken in chunks - and everyone seems to be taken poorly * Galen* and thatbags what have you both been up to? Please do what you have been told by the good people here and see your doctor Galen also your daughter should too even though she sounds like mine and very strong-willed. She was obviously concerned and further tests may just put her mind (and yours) at rest.
To everyone not feeling 100% at the moment, sending
and best wishes.
I'm adding my nagging voice Galen and also to your daughter - see a doctor - both of you!
I have also been thinking about Bella and her DH. Hope all is well with them and she calls in soon.
Nice to see Baubles called in too.
Onwards and upwards Dragonfly
I'll just have a mug of tea (with sugar) and go back to applying for volunteer posts! They don't 'arf ask a lot of questions!! And I've mostly forgotten the answers.
Galen Adding my nag, yes, do get a second opinion. at the very least it will give you something to do, arranging the appointment and arguing with the GP.
Dragonfly Good news on DDs job front.
Crafting i had exactly your problem with a tube of lip salve. Sealed in like Fort Knox, and only accessible to the strong-handed young - who probably use coloured lipsticks not clear lipsalve. I wrote to the manufacturers with a blow-by-blow account of my struggles. They replied that they had paid a lot of attention to packaging for their new range of flavours, and sent me three samples. All smelt delicious but were packaged exactly the same as their predecessors so I could not open them to try them.
It's entirely the fault of my new(ish) laptop!
anno oopsadaisy!
Your multi-tasking has hit a new high.
I'm having to stop for a quick cup of tea and then I've to report for ironing duties. Return in time for a good match, I hope. Enjoy this glorious weather and don't get into too much mischief

I've just popped in with an early morning pot of fresh coffee, to say that my thoughts are with bellasnana and her DH today. And to share some good news - after being made redundant six months ago, and having tried so hard to get a job, getting down to the last two or three at interview several times, my darling girl has got a new job. She starts in the autumn, so no worries about arranging childcare over the summer holidays. After a really horrid few years, maybe, just maybe, things are looking up for our little family. Back later, hugs to all.
Ok! You've made you point!
Was much better this morning but I've probably overused it today.
I've ordered some new types of dressing which arrived this pm, so I'll use them tomorrow.
I'm just generally in a bad mood. I'll see darling daughter and DGDs on Thursday if all goes well. We are going to meet at Slimbridge.
anno
Good heavens! What happened there? I've seen it happen to other posters but I've never accomplished more than double posts!
galen, you did say that you'd go to your GP for an antibiotic. Perhaps a second opinion, other than your own, would be helpful.
