Flippin` `eck Soop, that looks awful, poor MacSporran. It seems a long time till Friday, looking at your pics, surely someone ought to see him before then? Someone ought to be keeping him under observation.
My garden has been ruined by ????
Hello yet again to you lovely lot. The Champagne is ready. Do hope that I shall be welcoming you very soon.
Flippin` `eck Soop, that looks awful, poor MacSporran. It seems a long time till Friday, looking at your pics, surely someone ought to see him before then? Someone ought to be keeping him under observation.
Bellasnana it's tough having to be strong for everyone else (((hugs)))
Big (((hugs))) for you all. It is very reassuring and comforting to hear from you. I must attend to a few jobs around the hoos. Not much activity within these four walls. Pleased that MacS is snoozing. Rory is curled up on his lap.
A large plate of butter shortbread for those who feel peckish. Tea and coffee brewing. A bunch of pretty flowers on the kitchen table.
soop another here who doesn't want to alarm you, but I do think MacSporran might need medical attention well before Friday and if it was me I'd be calling at A and E because older people with diminishing immune systems are so much more susceptible to this sort of thing resulting in septicaemia. He might need something stronger, or intravenous antibiotics to have the desired effect. Or it may be that different antibiotics would not given him an adverse reaction. I do hope he soon starts feeling better. You must both be so worried.
Oh poor MacSporran That looks absolutely dreadful! He must be feeling miserable
I had no idea that the spots/blisters went all over the body, bloody ticks!
Dear soop I hope the anti-biotics work soon!
Best wishes to himself.
Oh soop, that poor, poor man. I hope it's not painful as well as debilitating. Hopefully he is on the path to recovery but he must feel worn out with it all, as you must with worrying about him.
Could I just sneak 40 winks on your chaise. DH took me out to lunch. It 's Dia de Portugal today and he said he saw my face light up when he told me our favourite restaurant had stayed open today. Don't think I'll be doing much work for the rest of the day.
soop the antibiotics should be kicking in within 48 hours of taking them. I have looked at the photos and they are horrific, McSporran must be in agony. I have no professional experience of ticks or Lyme disease but it looks to me as though Friday is a long way away and an earlier visit maybe on the cards.
Bella I am so sorry to hear that you have been having difficult days. We are always here to try to understand and help.
Your poor DH, Soop That looks so sore. He must be feeling really miserable.
Not wishing to simplify matters but has he had chickenpox? It can look so much worse in adults.
Hope you are taking care of yourself as well.
for my Granspals. Gaga I've been Googling rashes. Can only find one that starts with the dark raised centre...tic bite. Also MacS has all the symptoms mentioned for Lyme Disease. What else could it be? He's to go back to doc on Friday.
This looks awful soop and it obviously needs further medical detective work to find out what it is. It doesn't look like a tick's work to me. The bite from a tick has a bulls-eye effect rash - concentric circles of inflammation but maybe Scottish ticks bite differently. Whatever it is poor MacSporran looks in a right old two and eight and I bet you are worrying your kind heart to bits.
If he doesn't improve after 48 hours on the antibiotics I would be thinking of seeing the GP again. Meanwhile, I know you will be looking after him tenderly and I hope that you manage to keep strong for both of you.
So much love and good will and positivity coming your way surely must help beat the thing, whatever is the cause and GNs are excellent at providing all that and more.

Another one on a flying visit to see how things are going.
Poor MacS and poor you soop
Is another visit to the surgery called for do you think?
Hope you are feeling a little easier Bella.
Come and talk to us if it would help.
Very low down on the list of woes, I know, but I am going to see Mum in a minute. I do it with trepidation as I'm never sure what state of health, mind or temper she will be in! Oh, well, loins girded, ready for the off.
I just hope she is out of bed this time!
Take care everyone.
Oh Soop that looks dreadful. The poor man, give him a virtual hug from me. If it does not hurt too much.
to Mr MacSporran.
OH dear, It goes without saying I truly hope things start to improve, Love to both of you, as would say and give if I was sitting next to you both X
First things first...^you lot^ top my list of truly good friends. Thank you all so much for allowing me to bleat away. My heart goes out to Bellasnana and all our Granspals who are having to deal with real sorrows. I would love to be able to be of some small comfort to each and every one of you.
MacSporran looks and feels awful. I've uploaded today's photos of his almost-all-over-body rash. The spots are more like large blisters. The latest images start at number 3. Don't ask me why.
Dragonfly1 If you are happy....then I am doubly so. Thank you for your kind message.
soop, I do hope that the news about McSporran is better today and that you both had a decent night's sleep. xx
Dearest soop, the portrait you've painted of my little Flora is gorgeous and I'm totally overwhelmed by both your talent and your kindness. Thank you so much.
How is MacSporran today?
soop this is just a flying visit to your lovely kitchen. How is your DH and of course yourself.
Just popped my head in the door to wish your DH a speedy recovery, Soop. I do hope they come up with a diagnosis ASAP and that he's soon feeling better.
Bella Take care. Thinking of you. x
My dear Soop. We don't judge the level of each other's problems. If we have a problem and need a shoulder now and again, it's thanks to you for making this safe haven in the kitchen where we will all be there for each other. My best regards to John for a speedy recovery. We know he will be well looked after but, remember to look, after yourself too because you are so worth it
. Love to you both.
Bella I had an incline you were going through a bad patch as we hadn't heard from you. God knows this must be the most difficult and heartbreaking time for you and your DH. PLEASE , come into the kitchen any time, day or night where there will always be one of us here to help in anyway we can by being there for you.
I think a few of us will, identify with the position of having to be strong for everyone. It's a lonely place to be and very draining. Do what you can to look after yourself too.
soop, I'm glad that you feel you can trust us with your worries, it has been a very scaring time for both of you. I'm glad your dear husband doesn't have to go into hospital and I hope he starts feeling better soon.
Bellasnan warmest wishes from me too.
x
Soop Best wishes to MacS
Bellasnan Thinking of you
Give him our very best wishes won't you, soop? It's good to know that it's being taken care of properly now.
And Bellasnan, the warmest of wishes for you.
x
Bella
Chin up love, you're allowed to go to pieces sometimes, and you can do that with us, on here.
You have to look after yourself too. xx
soop thanks for giving us an update. You have both been on my mind, some doctors just don't realise or expect it to be from a tick so it get overlooked. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to your OH
