I think when we were in the middle of having our own babies we didn't have the time to worry - other things on our mind! What a shame you have to wait a bit for those first cuddles but it will be worth it! In the meantime welcome to your new privileged status as a Grandmother !

its never too late congratulations and have a glass or two you sound as if you need it, but now it's time to look to the future with your gorgeous Gd, not long till June and you can have a good cuddle.

Many congratulations itsnevertoolate You must be over the moon. We had a very similar experience with our new granddaughter a year ago. She had to be given CPR when only 3 minutes old and it was touch and go. I'm glad we didn't know until afterwards .She is a bonny little thing now and gives us so much pleasure. Sit back and relax and enjoy a glass of or two. You have much to look forward to in June.

I never thought the day would come,when I would be saying this..
(waited sooooo long!)
but
I have a Grandchild!!

However,I feel I should now be on Materity leave,as it will take a while to get over it!
diifficult birth,every thing that could go wrong,did go wrong, and baby nearly died!
Meanwhile,we were told she was in labour,then that there were problems..
and then left hanging,with no idea if she had delivered,was still labouring,or what!!!
aaaaaargh!!
I.NEVER.WANT.TO.BE IN. SUCH AN. ANXIETY RIDDEN. SITUATION.AGAIN !!!!!!
We are far away from my daughter,no possiblity to go and visit,nothing!
I must have (did:/ put on pounds,with eating anything that didnt move!!!!
However,baby is beautiful,and seems all fine now;my daughter is battered and bruised,but recovering
- When i first spoke to her,she sounded llike an empty little shell...I dint know who i was talking to,and had to ask!
so you can imagine my relief,to hear her sounding more like her old self!
And I cant wait to get a cuddle with my daughter and grandaughter!
(not until end of June though
