With the hot weather today I am barefoot around the house and outside on the patio.
At work the other day one of my colleagues referred to letting children go barefoot as being "akin to neglect", which startled me.
It depends too, of course on the weather. As a child in South Africa in the 1950s, and right up to my teens we ran around with bare feet. I can't imagine that it is considered neglectful nowadays for children to be barefoot, or is it?
The thread on toe nails has also made me think, surely it is a good idea to get those toes out in the fresh air?
