I think we were enjoying it but if you don't like a thread it is perfectly OK to ignore it! Better than having a go at those who are or were enjoying themselves. Each to his or her own I say.
Perhaps we need categories of threads such as, for example
1) threads to give you a laugh and make you smile
2) threads to cheer and comfort ( like soop's kitchen)
3) threads to depress you where you get a b******ing for disagreeing ( expletives not aleays deleted)
then you would know where you are (and what to avoid)

This is all getting very unpleasant.

I'll second that. Participation in threads you dislike is NOT compulsory so why try to spoil it for those who are doing you no harm and are just enjoying some light-hearted nonsense?
