I have not heard from a local builder for months but last night he sent me an email around10pm to state he will be coming here at 2pm today. I had planned a shopping trip but it can wait.

Good morning all. A lovely start to the day today. Our decorating is nearly finished, just a new carpet to wait for so the housework has to begin in earnest on Saturday

Lovely day in East Sussex. The wood pigeons are singing their song today. We have a pair of Jackdaws nesting in the chimney and I am so fed up with clearing up the fallen twigs, moss etc that falls into the hearth.
Have you seen the utter b***s in today's DM. We should forgive and humbly apologise to straying husbands. It's all the wife's fault apparently.

Good morning all, bright here again this a.m. and promising to remain so. A dodgy finger will prevent gardening I am afraid, so I must content myself with some long overdue housework (such joy!). I shall of course feel very virtuous when I have finished. Enjoy your days everyone.

Dull here in North Leicestershire and I'm off to do my usual Thursday morning Sainsburys trip only this time with a two year old for assistance!

Mick, I agree, 1571 and caller display are well worth paying for. We do get caught out by 'with held' numbers though as my brother, a friend and mum's home all withhold their numbers as do lots of cold callers!

Sunny for our last day in Sussex going back to Thames Valley today after looking after our sick one year old grandson and his lovely noisy brother since Monday. Tired out but we have done our job.
