Perhaps I shouldn't say this but it made me 
. My mother in law got caught in the rain and wrapped (safely) a supermarket carrier bag around her newly permed hair. Her three granddaughters instantly disowned her but did have the sense to buy her a fold up rainhood for Christmas. MiL was some character but she hated spending money.
