Things can only get better for both of you and hopefully your DH will have a POP on for 6 weeks maximum and no surgery will be needed to find the sliver of bone.

Just arrived home in Malta after a 26 hour journey from the US via London, so am having a quick look to see what you have been up to whilst I have been away. So sorry to read of all your troubles, Granny23 and trust your DH will be feeling better soon.

Just called in for my occasional 'lurk' to see how everyone is. My goodness Granny23, it never rains! but it pours. What a horrendous time. I know exactly what your journey was like - my DH fell off a step ladder many years ago, dislocating his elbow, and the memory of driving him to hospital, trying to avoid every pothole and drain is still fresh in my memory. I do hope you both fell better very soon!

Not been very mobile this last 6 weeks with a knee problem which thankfully has suddenly improved so have limped up the virtual path to Soop's kitchen and caught up with all the news from regulars and irregulars.

I think we need a singing session - anyone up for it? I have a pile of music and am happy to resume piano duties if required. It will cheer everyone who needs it, and help the lung function of all! Any requests?

Gaga We've missed you. What seems to be the trouble with your knee? Do you have arthritis? As for a tune...how about 'I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places...' For some reason it popped into my head and now I shall be singing humming it all day long. MacSporran says not to fret about Sahara dust. The air in bonnie Kintyre is the purest on the planet.

It was lovely to pop in and see so many of my dear Granspals. The perfect start to my day.

Just popping in briefly to thank you all for your good wishes, which are much appreciated and reassure me that I am not just making a fuss about nothing. Not much sleep last night as DH very restless and uncomfortable. He kept getting up and has managed to unravel the crepe bandage over his stookie - he claims it just fell off - and remove the dressing from his other elbow, which was also scraped in his fall. So now got blood on his clean sheets. Thankfully DD2 popped in to keep an eye on him while I went for my B12 injection and to bring her boomerang shaped breastfeeding pillow which is doing a grand job of supporting his arm.

Off to FVRI for consultant appointment this afternoon. I will report later on outcome. for you all - you are such a comfort.

Soop it's nice to be back! I tore the meniscus in my knee racing to the car-park before my ticket expired. All I did was twist a bit awkwardly as I went down a steeper than expected kerb. Pain like a red hot needle and difficulty with stairs, chairs and loos especially. Much restored thankfully and my fingers are twitching ready for your piano. Maybe this evening if anyone is around?

Gagagran, it won't cheer anyone up if I sing, so I will just sit in the corner and gobble up nibble the crumpets, and clap very enthusiastically.

I will make everyone a large and hope everyone who is having trials and tribulations will soon overcome them.

Thank you for your update, Granny23. The V-shaped pillow will most certainly prove to be a blessing and comfortably support your husband's arm. He must have fallen with an almighty wallop. Thank goodness he didn't hit his head. As for you and the need for B12 injections, I imagine that you will be feeling sore and fed up with the visits to the surgery. We'll be waiting to hear what progress is being made. In the meantime, if at all possible, please allow your daughter you pamper you. Does she live locally? I hope so.

My friend has lost a pashmina. She would like a replacement. I logged on to ebay and have spent an age looking through thousands of possibilities. May have hit the jackpot. Off to share the good news with her.
