DH wanted to watch something on BBC iPlayer this morning on his iPad in the sitting room.
Warning message flashes up on screen "I Player is only available in the UK "
OK , 8 miles or so north-east of Milton Keynes should be as close to central England as you get so we were puzzled. Had Bucks declared UDI? Had the Scottish referendum inspired a similar move in the East Midlands?
Anyway, he went up to the study to try there and whew! all was well upstairs.
So, that leaves us wondering where the border lies - is it half way up the stairs? Does Grace need a pet passport? (Shh can I get duty free on my way up to bed??)
How silly is this? grin

Thank you Soutra, I knew you`d changed names, but wasn`t sure who you used to be, until the massive clue in your post above!

Soutra Wed 05-Mar-14 15:21:47

A nod is as good as a winkwink!!

Anne58 Wed 05-Mar-14 15:26:57

Will you have to have some sort of Border Control? (imagining a sort of check point Charlie thingy half way up the stairs)

grin

No Soutra, MK has declared independence, we have our own currency, TV station, National health service, you name it...grin

(only joking...)

You must have a foot in France, Soutra. grin

granjura Wed 05-Mar-14 16:49:15

LOL your post made me smile. We of course live right on the Swiss/French border- less than half a mile. So the issue with phones, etc, is a daily occurence. If I go for a walk, I rarely know which country I am in? But Milton Keynes should be clear enough.

Now I know who you are too!

granjura Wed 05-Mar-14 18:27:40

Well hello then Nonnie smile

Nonnie Thu 06-Mar-14 09:42:22

I have quite a few radios around the house and often have them on at the same time [although digital is out of time with analogue] however, for some bizarre reason, can't get Radio 4 in the study [even though I have switched the radios around.]Der-DER -DEEEEEER! spooky music!

Gally Thu 06-Mar-14 12:12:04

I can have Classic FM on in two parts of the house; they are not synchronised and there are different adverts going out at the same time hmm

grannyisland Fri 07-Mar-14 10:13:34

I heard a mind-numbing explanation on Radio 4 why digital radios will never be in sync but that wouldn't explain different adverts!
