Scotland is "my land"...even though I'm not a Scot. Wouldn't want to live any other place on earth. Intend to die here and my ashes to be scattered on the beach of the Sound of Kintyre.

Well, I am Scottish but have lived in England since I was 7. I don't have the vote, but think I should. I would vote for a resounding NO. Alex Salmond is a self-serving Nationalist and is very anti-English. And yes, it is true about the students, if they are from EU such as France, Germany then Scotland pay their fees, if they are English they don't. I have children of university age, my daughter goes in 2015 and we are dissuading her from studying her chosen course in Edinburgh as we are not certain about funding and surely she would need a visa? Such a muddle. David Bowie is entitled to comment, just as much as Sean Connery the great Scots Nationalist who loves the country so much he lives in Marbella.

Fried Mars Bars are fab!!

At least the half of one that I ate once was. ;) A friend and I felt we had to try it at least once. No regrets. It was lovely and not at all what we expected. Perfectly done (probably shallow fried if the truth be known), thin batter, served with chocolate ice-cream and an artistic drizzle of choc sauce. A lovely, once in a blue moon pudding.

I haven't read all the sorries yet but I think that is the crux for me about the whole issue, that Scottish Nationalists feel England has more to apologise for than otherwise. Chip. Shoulder.

I expect Scotland could apologise to various places if they thought about it in the same way.

The British Broadcasting Corporation could remain as it is. After all, Scotland is only one part of the British Isles, and Scotland will still be British even if it chooses so-called independence from England and the rest of Britain. If Scotland needs its own broadcasting corporation, good luck to it I say.

Must admit I haven't really been following the news about it. What little I do know has made we wonder if Alex S wants to have it all ways. Independence but not when it comes down to the £. He always comes across to me as quite an unlike able chap. Does he charge students from England more than EU students to study in Scotland? A story I'd read.

I hear that Lloyds will be moving TSB HQ back to the English side of the border soon just in case Scotland vote 'yes' - I wonder how many more companies will do the same?

Personally, I don't mind which way it goes but if the Scots vote 'yes' it should be a total break. I suspect it won't happen though ...
