I did stay up for a while in case you wanted to chat but I'm glad you found some peace playing candy crush and it relaxed you a bit. Because she has given up her hobbies due to you uncle's care, it may need a slowly slowly approach to get her back into the swing of things. I do think it would be a good idea for her to come to yours for a while if she doesn't seem to be getting better when you are ready to leave after your week there. Then you can slowly introduce her to an iPad, teach her how to use it and have her get confident with it and like I said, put little nuggets back into her mind about going back swimming and seeing her friends. It must have been a huge shock for her, regardless of the fact her husband was ill for some time, that she is now alone. But that does not have to mean lonely.
The funeral and after will give you an idea how she will cope in the future. In the meantime just keep in touch and do all you can to reassure her, which I am sure you are doing anyway. Your dear uncle is still with you all, in your hearts. Take care, look after yourself.
Where Is Greta Thunberg These Days?

I think I'm anxious about getting anxious ( hope that makes sense to someone) I'm obviously in a state about my most wonderful uncles funeral. I'm worrying about my aunt (we are more like sisters really) who was married to said uncle for 54 years. We have all been taking it in turns stopping over. I will stay for a week following the funeral. But when should we start leaving her alone. She was on her own for just a few hours during the day a few days ago and my sister found her in a terrible state. I know we are cosseting her and want to protect her as much as possible. But the idea of her being alone and desolate during the night is upsetting.

It's fatal, isn't it?! I'm really going now, hope you sleep all right!
hope I feel better as the day passes. I'v got a busy weekend planned.
