I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa. wink

Nellie dear, what are you like. wink

I'm a little late today. MacSporran was invited to call in to see our GP. He thought that it might be connected with the Oban hospital procedure he underwent on Tuesday. Apparently not. He's to have an ultra sound carried out in Campbeltown together with a procedure in the urology clinic in Oban.

We had a date with our solicitor. Documents to sign and such. After which, we treated ourselves to lunch in the newly refurbished hotel. I drove the car. MacSporran almost fell asleep [he was that relaxed]. Some twit pulled out of a side road right in front of our car. I executed the perfect emergency stop. MacSporran waved his fist at the twit. I merely smiled sweetly...and carried on...

Hello Soop and guests.

Only another 151 posts to go before you will need to extend again!

I have not called in for ages. I have been out every night this week so far, got now't done in the day. Weds morning, I went on line to look up the postcode of somewhere in Salford and 45mins later was still on GN having forgotten what I switched on for.

The Hoover was still halfway across the bedroom floor and I only finished that job this morning. Does "the kitchen" offer rehab for GN addicts? wink

Gagagran smile Apricot flapjacks...don't mind if I do.

Helping out with your granddaughter is the best part of being a granny. I'm glad that you can see an improvement. Well done St Richard's Hospital. Kindness matters. flowers

Gagagran Thu 09-Jan-14 16:38:53

Always happy to oblige with flapjacks Soop - here's a plate of my apricot ones which I seem to remember were quite well received last time I left some?

Been to sit with convalescing DGD so DD could nip to do a supermarket shop. Such a relief to see her out of pain - just sore and wishy-washy but very happy with the chocolate and flowers (Roses but not the chocolates!) I took for her. Wonderful treatment at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester so thanks to all there for looking after her so well.

bags....that's more like it. Lovely, scrummy and deliciously sticky. wink

kitty All Mums feel the same. I told so many people to tune into the programme. Those ultimate five seconds worth of grins made my day. grin

kittylester Thu 09-Jan-14 14:36:00

Sorry to have missed the soopson. But you are right, any mother would feel enormous pride. When DS1 was discussing his book on the radio I listened in the car park, waiting to pick him up, and then got really funny looks as I sat sobbing and a telling off when he got back to the car. blush

I shall be seeking sanctuary in the kitchen next week as DD2 and her two little ones are staying for the week. Keep the kettle on - pleeeeease! grin

Actually, soop me ole pal, it's date slices I'm making today. Better get on with it!!

soop Thu 09-Jan-14 12:57:47

What's more...the kitchen will remain open for as long as you lot care to drop in from time to time [and bags keeps supplying us with home-baked flapjacks] wink

soop Thu 09-Jan-14 12:56:11

Charleygirl Cats are sooooooooooooooooo laid back. Rory has half opened an eye since his 7 o'clock breakfast. grin

Charleygirl Thu 09-Jan-14 12:52:21

soop you are going to have to give some thought to yet another kitchen extension in the near future. Fortunately we are approaching spring. Rory can always slum it here with Tara who has not moved from my bed for at least 10 hours. Her empty stomach will be the only thing to move her- her bladder does not.

soop Thu 09-Jan-14 12:41:27

We would have a party...in Edinburgh...and you lot would be invited. grin

Elegran Thu 09-Jan-14 12:26:43

Well. someone has to win the prize draw. It might as well be someone who will appreciate it!

soop Thu 09-Jan-14 11:56:46

Bellasnana Yes...he does have kind eyes. smile

Elegran Maybe the prize draw of £36k will be in our favour. Wouldn't that be lovely! Thanks for telling us about the repeat on ITV. We have not used it before. flowers

Elegran Thu 09-Jan-14 11:26:15

So sorry I distracted you, Soop ! but it came on while I was waiting too, and I knew you were watching . . .

Bellasnana Thu 09-Jan-14 11:21:18

What a lovely son you have, soop. He has kind eyes like his mum smile

soop Thu 09-Jan-14 11:07:49

So................................................................I sat glued to the television and waited and waited.......................................and, as I was waiting [and getting rather miffed] dear Elegran sent me a text about the £36k prize draw...enter now...and you could be the lucky winner. As I fidgeted with the cell phone, he [my son] came on and was off again before I had time to squeal with delight...as you do. We therefore had to trawl through all the channels to locate the ITV+1 repeat performance. Honest to goodness, what am I like? No comment! hmm
If asked, was the wait worth the ten five seconds on air, I would of course say YES...just like any Mum. wink

It's lovely that some of you lot paid attention and caught a fleeting glimpse of you know who. smile

bags Did that Gally beat you to the last date slice? shock Maybe you could bother to make us lot a batch of your delicious flapjacks. I'm hoping that your poorly toe will begin to respond to treatment. As I've only just logged on, I haven't read through other threads.

Lona Thu 09-Jan-14 10:05:39

Seen him now, he's lovely soop..............just like his mum!

Oldgreymare Thu 09-Jan-14 09:32:18

Saved eating my porridge to watch!
Quick shot of your DS Soop, I agree with When
Carried on watching until the talk turned to 'Budgie-smugglers'! What is she like?
Iced water and a flannel for my brow please!

Lona Thu 09-Jan-14 09:25:44

Yes, of course!
Obviously I need more tea!

whenim64 Thu 09-Jan-14 09:23:32

ITV+1 Lona He'll be back on at 10am.

Lona Thu 09-Jan-14 09:12:27

Damn! I've missed him then!

whenim64 Thu 09-Jan-14 09:09:26

That was short and sweet, soop. I could see his resemblance to you in that few seconds. smile

Grannyknot Thu 09-Jan-14 09:07:22

Soop that was a treat (on telly) ... and I also know Nick Barton (CE of Action on Addiction) smile

Right. The last date slice has gone so I'm out of here and off to work. See ya!

thatbags Thu 09-Jan-14 07:50:48

Right! That gally's gone and eaten the last date slice so what more do I need to make another batch today. Better get dressed and wotnot first though. Watch this plate...

phoenix flowers and hugs.
