Can't play the spoons baubles but have been playing some pretty Scottish airs this morning on my new digital piano - did you not hear me? I'll turn the volume up for my next session!

I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa.

Soop sorry, craic or crack is an Irish word meaning, chat, gossip, music, and fun.
An apt description of what goes on in here.
With the possible exception of music - anyone play the spoons?

Doctors are even younger than policemen these days.
Galen What are you like!
Told me to arrange urgent physio. He was really dishy in a rugged sort of way. Pity he was only slightly older than my son
When I went back after two weeks, I saw an orthopaedic doctor (aged about 14) who got me to reach my arm round behind my behind (that far was easy) then told me I was a model patient and to use it normally, but not overdo it. He didn't specify how much was too much. No exercises, so I found some good graded ones on the net and bought a set of Therabands.
Elegran
I'm about to add photo of one Rory's daughters.

It would be a miracle if I could, as I couldn't to start with (or play the piano)
Can you drive? The consultant told me not to for the moment. It's a long time since I did orthopaedics
Galen I dislocated mine on 14th December. I can do almost everything with it now (except bend it up my back - that feels like the torture of someone twisting it up there) but I wake up each morning with it aching. I think it stiffens up after too long in one position. By the time I am up showered and dressed it feels OK. It likes hot water running over it.
Getting fed up with being housebound.
Physio tomorrow so I'll ask when I can drive again.
anno strange that! my shoulder was hurting this am! but is ok now.
I've been up to nothing special, soop. The shoulder is a mixture of osteo arthritis and tendonitis. It isn't the one I had replaced seven years ago. It's feeling a wee bit better now that I've been in action for a few hours. Going to the writing group this pm, though I have writer's block or perhaps I'm just lazy.
Good morning to you all. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to discover that you have popped in for a wee chat and a blether. If I could, I would open my door and welcome you all with open arms and a huge
bags , my lovely girl, are you beginning to feel the benefit of antibiotics? That sore toe needs to get better. We can't have you out of sorts. I also trust that your GP will be happy with your blood pressure after monitoring it for a week. As for the next extension, I shall endeavour to post a photo or two. My actual kitchen is wee. It's only my virtual kitchen that is vast enough to for all my Granspals.
Galen how are you feeling today? Remember not to overtire yourself. You still need lots of TLC.
ffinnochio It's a pleasant view through the window today. Although it isn't sunny the sea is calm and the islands have put in an appearance. Sometimes, when it's very misty, you wouldn't guess that those marvellous mountains exist.
baubles What does the word craic mean? I guess it's a Scottish word for chatter.
Lona I used to have horrid dreams but for some time now, they have ceased. I often had a nightmare in which a faceless man was chasing me...and my legs wouldn't move and my scream couldn't be heard. Rory will help you to relax. We took a photo of his daughter this morning. She now visits for breakfast and supper. A little later I shall add her photo to the album. Mother cat puts n an appearance from time to time. She is a very pretty cat and her coat is greyish. Daughter is ginger/black as a result.
Gaga No need to wish you a happy day. It's bound to be just that.
OGM I joined a Tai Chi class in Dartmouth about 30 years ago. I loved it. The group was taught by a man called Julian Crowe. He learned from a master of Tai Chi and would often demonstrate Tai Chi with sticks...which was lively...and could be a dangerous martial art.
anno now what have you been up to? I've not been aware that your shoulder is giving you trouble. I'm so sorry.
Still feel half asleep. I did my usual thing - woke up early (well, 6.45), read for a while and then fell asleep again. Even breakfast and a bucket of tea haven't made me feel more lively. Right shoulder giving me hell.
Have a lovely day with your GD, gaga.
Me too Lona, one of my teaching nightmares: losing control of a class, kids everywhere, inspectors arrive by the brace. I wake up, go back to sleep and the d* dream continues! No escape!
Galen sorry to hear you are down, offer still there
Gagagran isn't it fun to 'spoil' them?
Tai Chi this afternoon, then a relaxed zizz on the chaise, waking up to tea and flapjack (note, singular
)
Have a lovely day Gagagran, spoiling is what we do so well!
Toasted crumpets anyone? Help yourselves. Just watch that Rory doesn't go after your buttery plates! I have a feeling he might be partial to some butter!
I am waiting for our convalescing DGD to arrive for a day being spoilt after her op last week. Grandad's taxi has gone to collect her. It will be lovely to see her restored to her normal bright and bubbly self instead of the wan and monosyllabic little waif of last Monday!
Have a restorative half hour in this magical kitchen everyone!
Hello, I need a
and some purrs from Rory after a horrible dream this morning about my ex1. All my insecurities come out in these sort of dreams, and I feel very unsettled for ages.
I'll just sit quietly in front of the fire and let Rory work his magic.
Good morning Soop & everyone. I'm having an extremely lazy morning catching up with the goings on. I'll just have a wee seat in the corner with a cup of tea and listen to the craic.
Oooh soop The chaise longue sounds perfect - and with a view of the sea to boot. Matchsticks keeping eyes open this morning, so I'll be flat out on it this afternoon.
Hope you are feeling a little better today Galen. just relax and if possibl let others take the strin (((hugs)))
Hey, soop! When you build your new extension, could you put it on the pictures forum, please? I think it would be good to be able to post the occasional picture in Soop's Kitchen.
Here is a link to a pic of the King's House Hotel in Glen Etive where we had that virtual gransnet party long ago. I seem to remember falling a sleep on the floor on when's dog.
