I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa. wink

Gally, bon voyage. flowers - the kind that won't wilt on a long haul flight.

Agus Sun 01-Dec-13 10:27:59

Hang on Gally. Remember happy times and also it won't be too long now 'til you see those happy faces at another airport. flowers

Icyalittle Sun 01-Dec-13 10:19:18

I could do with some please. - Been up since before 6. It's my 40th wedding anniversary today so I am sitting in Edinburgh airport waiting for my London flight and trying not to imagine what I was doing this time 40 years ago! sad
Hope you are feeling better today soop?

Nelliemoser Sun 01-Dec-13 09:36:26

Marmalade for me please with the toast. The Damson jam is for the tea time scones. With the double cream!

Icyalittle Sun 01-Dec-13 08:40:15

Please do me a slice kittylester. I've got homemade damson jam or marmalade, what do you want on yours? Do you think soop is feeling well enough for a slice?

kittylester Sun 01-Dec-13 08:32:36

Morning all, hope everyone is feeling a bit better today. I've made some tea and I'll do some hot well-buttered toast - would anyone like some?

I'm off out into the garden when I've had some tea and toast - see you later.

Oldgreymare Sat 30-Nov-13 23:59:26

I hope you`re feeling better by now Soop, and that Mr Soop is mollycoddling you good and proper, likewise Rory.

Oldgreymare Sat 30-Nov-13 23:15:38

Tip-toeing in with a cold flannel for Soop's fevered brow, a jug of homemade lemon squash to sip thro' the night and lots of get well wishes.

whenim64 what an excellent idea sending the invoice to GNHQ. They will not notice or mind I am sure. Anyway, it will just be for around a week until "soop" gets on her feet again.

Lona Sat 30-Nov-13 15:54:13

soop get plenty of rest and I'm sure you'll begin to feel better soon.
We're all waiting in the kitchen to look after you when you feel able to join us.

xxx (((hugs)))

whenim64 Sat 30-Nov-13 15:42:09

Poor you, soop. I'm sending a private nurse round to see to your every need. Tell her to invoice GNHQ - they won't mind!! grin Get well soon flowers

Granny23 Sat 30-Nov-13 15:23:03

Standing well back but blowing kisses in your direction. Hope you get a good sleep and the Anti Bs start to work their magic overnight.

Charleygirl Sat 30-Nov-13 15:21:12

Gagagran I was not aware that wine was anything other than medicinal.

Maybe a good old fashioned toddy would help soop more at present. Perhaps the medicinal wine when she is feeling a bit better and able to eat something. I bought two bottles of Chablis yesterday so I am sure that we could all share those.

soop it sounds as though a course of antibiotics would not go amiss so that would knock out any wine or spirits, even the medicinal type which we only drink.

Bellasnana Sat 30-Nov-13 14:36:51

Poor soop - you really are having a rough time of it. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better very soon. Perhaps you need to see a doctor? flowers

Zengran Sat 30-Nov-13 14:31:38

soop DO get well soon!! flowers

(((hug)))

Just a quick hello to you lovely lot.
Have just got out of bed. Hadn't the strength for a shower. Just a lick and a promise. If any of my Granspals have had what I'm going through...all I can say is, I'm desperately sorry for you.
I have, over the years, spent a maximum of four days feeling so washed out that I couldn't face getting out of bed.
As I breathe the sounds emanating from my lungs resemble a squeaky barn door, a rumble of distant thunder or a bear in considerable distress.
I feel ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN.
I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. Have a bowl close at hand. Clammy one minute, shivering the next.
I am thinking of you. I do miss you. I hope that the Gransmeets are full of fun.
Must away! Take good care of yourselves. flowers
