I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa. wink

Poor Soop, but at least she`s going to be in the best to get better. Please send her my love and best wishes.

Nonu Sat 07-Dec-13 17:45:08

She is in the best place . They will get her better !

Elegran Sat 07-Dec-13 17:44:46

She will be in the best place - IV antibiotics and all the tests on the spot, and Mr Soop will be replaced by a team of nurses.

So worrying for them though. They are such lovely people, and they have hd one set of troubles after another. Lets hope the next news is better.

whenim64 Sat 07-Dec-13 17:41:11

Oh, that's upsetting. Poor soop! I hope she's soon mended after a short stay. Get well soon, soop! flowers

Charleygirl Sat 07-Dec-13 17:38:53

That really is awful and I am so sorry to hear that she has been admitted. If it is the chest infection that is the problem at least she will be able to have IV antibiotics. Mr. soop must be so worried.

kittylester Sat 07-Dec-13 17:36:07

Thanks bags - please give soop lots of love and ask mrsoop to give her a big hug from us.

Nonu Sat 07-Dec-13 17:35:54

OH Dear !

thatbags Sat 07-Dec-13 17:32:13

Latest news from MrSoop is that the doc visited today and decided soop would be better in Oban Hospital having tests done. She was on her way half an hour ago. He will visit tomorrow. It's not sounding good. Poor soop.

Charleygirl Sat 07-Dec-13 17:30:01

Galen yum. What a pity you live so far away or I would be dropping in! I am having steak, trimmings and a couple of glasses of red wine-hick.

Galen Sat 07-Dec-13 16:35:52

Changed me mind, can't get at my kafir lime (for the leaves) so I'm making aubergine melts, quick and easy, aubergine halves roasted with olive oil then topped with tomato slices and mozzarella and returned to the oven til the cheese cooks!

Nelliemoser Sat 07-Dec-13 15:45:33

Galen I have just made some. I put Dijon mustard under the cheese on mine. I could offer you that, horsesradish sauce, or various chutneys.
It can't be beaten as a comforting snack.

kittylester Sat 07-Dec-13 15:29:21

Isn't it quiet in here? Hope the soops are feeling better and anyone else who is under the weather.

I can't stop long as we've got DD3's dog overnight and he's already weed on the, fairly recently cleaned, hall carpet 3 times 'Oh bless' said DD, 'he's really excited to be here' tchconfused

I'll put the kettle on before I go for a quick cuppa - he can't do too much damage in that time, can he?

Supper sounds good Galen - we are having chicken thighs stuffed with roulade cheese and wrapped in bacon and I always make more than we'll eat as, surprisingly, they are delicious cold.

Galen Sat 07-Dec-13 14:09:29

Cold clearing up, just sitting reading. Fed up and bored. Cheese on toast would be super if there is any left?
Wondering what do do for supper tonight, might make Chinese hot and sour prawn soup.

tiggypiro Sat 07-Dec-13 13:43:55

I'm not poorly or shopping (heaven forbid !) but I have been doing my favourite and winter warmer activity of clearing land next door for my nice neighbour (not 'The Thieving Bas****' on the other side). Just come in for some cheese on toast - plenty left if anyone wants some.
I do hope Soop is feeling better - it just doesn't seem the same in the kitchen without her.

MiceElf Sat 07-Dec-13 13:25:02

I've just finished be ironing, had my hair chopped this morning, done the shopping, made some cheese straws and chocolate muffins and sent husband away to make me a cup of tea. I deserve it.

And how's Soop today? I do hope that nasty bronchitis is on its way out and that the best puss in the world is cheering you up.
