Good morning - yes he did mention that he would may be have a couple of days he would miss. Mixed weather here but I am just happy today - DGS 1 sent message yesterday to say he and his girlfriend had booked flights to come and see us - arriving Saturday till Thursday. First time I will have seen them since they graduated - he starts a PhD in a couple of weeks - she, like so many others, is still applying for jobs. Thinking about forward cooking etc now!

Miserable in north Leicester when I left at 10am. Miserable in Derby, all day, and now it's raining. Luckily, DD has left me the car seats for the school run

Beautiful day here in Fife, but very windy. We have been very lucky recently compared to some other areas - fingers x'd for more of the same.

I finally - after 6 months - have had a physio appointment here.
came home with more understanding of my leg problem and some exercises to do at home - and an aching back.
Going to lie down for a bit (sigh) I seem to do a lot of that.

Started bright, now dull but still dry. Tomorrow I am going to Dundee to stay with my sister and BiL. We'll be seeing her grandchildren and also our sister's DD and GC. Hoping for a cultural day in Edinburgh and a visit to St Andrews. All in five days?

Cloudy and windy here in the north east, definitely autumn. Been to have a look at our new car at the Mercedes garage, taking delivery on Friday, I do love the smell of new leather

These trains (Transpennine) don't whizz, Greatnan, they lumber from station to station. Gally, I will wave to you as I pass through Aberdour.
