My Dad has just died

My thoughts go out to you Mishap and to your dear old dad.

Your mind will be inundated with long forgotten memories and you will feel like an orphan. It's good that he passed away peacefully .

Mishap condolences and kindest regards from me too. Such a blessing that he was able to go gently. What we would all like for ourselves and our loved ones.

My sympathies, Mishap. It's a terrible grief to know that a dearly loved father has died, however old and ready to go. But you know you did your very best for him and that he had peace at the last.

Every sympathy, Mishap I am so pleased for you/him that he was not taken to hospital with all the paraphernalia that involves but died peacefully in bed from the sound of it, in his sleep. Not eating, sleeping much of the time - that is nature's way and for once it seems to have been left to take its course. Desperately sad for you and your family of course, but so much kinder to him in the end. When the body gives out, it is good to be able to let go. {{hug}} and

Take care of yourself, now, mishap. You did your best for your dad and, as you say, he was in good hands when he died. Takes me back to when my dad died, 20+ years ago. Tears in my eyes. Take care and grieve softly. You were a good daughter. xx
