Reasons to be cheerful, the more bizarre the better, nothing soppy!!!

Hilda I was at a my DS best friends wedding in April and it brought back lots of memories of the group, who are all still friends at the different stages of their youth. It was a very special day seeing them all together again.

Oh Movedalot.......they can be quite a difficult bunch....U3A......in the group I joined (haved moved away since) there were some crafty political machinations (naming no names - to protect the innocent)

Leaving Birmingham at lunchtime today I noticed loads of Police and some Marshalls, clearly something about to happen. Then in the front of one of the Police vans there was a big sign "U3A". I thought it was probably the EDF bringing them out, didn't know U3A were so troublesome!

Browsing through joyous photos on Facebook of a wedding my daughter attended....recognising all the faces of those sweet little things who used to come over to play when they were all at school together. Now they are beautiful young men and women and seem to be having a lovely time.

Been to Aldi ! Got lots of food for very little pence.

Going to sleep in my own bed tonight

Very happy that my rescue dog, who has been with me for 5 weeks, has finally understood that its OK to 'play' when she is out in the fields. Today she gambolled about, bouncing through long grass, for the very first time.

The blind young dog, for whom she is supposed to be a companion, was delighted as has spent the whole 5 weeks trying to persuade her new friend to get out of 2nd gear!

Not going to the gym now as been on phone to old friend for 1 1/2 hours so won't see that woman who is about my age, fit, slim and looks good in lycra. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Not joking. I would have if I hadn't been holding on. So I'm glad!

Had to get up at stupid o'clock to go for fasting blood test - not good! Now had 2 cups of coffee so feeling better. BP was 110/60 so nurse is pleased with me. I didn't tell her that is high for me!
