Meeting my niece and nephew for the first time in 25+ years !
DD has been chatting to them on FB. She has never met them. Their mum is DH sister. She has not been in contact with any of the family in all this time. She will not discuss her reasons why with her children.
We have always felt sad for them as their father has no family. So there's only ever been them and their mum n dad.
Hopefully they are coming Bank Holiday, niece is bringing her two children one of whom is the same age as DGS . Perhaps we can get DH other sister to come too.
