Mr soop has tonsillitis and a chest infection. I shall take good care of him. He thanks you for your good wishes. I passed on jeni's message to Rory...he stretched a leg and yawned!

Was at tribunals today, at lunchtime a fellow medic told me he had a consultant coming to give evidence for the claimant. This is unheard of.
Turned out it was my orthopaedic consultant, so I called in and had a chat with him
Apparently he was so incensed by the ATOS report which. Awarded nil points whereas in his opinion the man deserved over 50, he had decided to come and complain.
Isn't he a nice chap.?
I always said he was good so I tried to recruit him for the tribunals!

Puzzled Butty......why would this freely available song be subject to copyright in France? There are no royalties to pay here in the UK. It's out there for all to use, and One Billion Rising's music is going to be used all over the world. Maybe they need to sort things out so anyone can perform it in public. Hope they do. No wonder you're not happy about it.

I've been hoping to organise a day of dance for One Billion Rising on Feb. 14.

Found out today that the French copyright laws on music are very tight, and it would be prohibitively expensive. [very-pissed-off-emoticon]

Oh, I know, soop - you can't sleep when they're in such a state, can you? Very worrying.

Ana I'm very pleased to learn that your husband is recovering. During the night, after one of Mr soop's bad sessions, I lay awake for ages until I'm certain that he's over the worst. He spends the night either propped up in an armchair, or kneeling with his head on a pillow. His mother had the same problems with her breathing. Sadly, she died from the complaint when Mr soop was very young.

Good to hear from you soop! Sorry to hear that Mr soop is still under the weather. The doctor prescribed steroids for my DH last Friday as he was having terrible problems with his breathing due to a chest infection, and it was amazing how quickly they worked!

Hello......I've been servicing Rory's night-time apartment. He sat on the door mat and yawned. Popped all his blankets into the washing machine. He remained on the door mat and yawned some more. Hosed down the terrace - the birds make a bit of a mess which has to be dealt with. Rory watched and continued to yawn. Male and female blackbirds scuffled in some vegetation a few paces away. Rory watched and had a tentative wash behind the ears. Robin hopped by and puffed out his chest. Rory looked away...he had things to ponder - only he couldn't make up his mind whether to continue yawning or take a short stroll to his cushion on his stool. Decision made, he's now asleep in my chair!
I'm hoping that all my pals who have been poorly are now on the mend. Mr soop is not much better. He looks awfully tired and is drained of energy. He's to see the GP this afternoon. He'll possibly return with steroids.
I received an appointment for a pre-op assessment this morning. I rang the hospital to say that I'd already had the assessment. Yes, I had, in early July! Thing is, the results are now out of date. So, it's back to Glasgow the week prior to being admitted. Thank goodness we get some help with travel expenses. I just hope the weather doesn't present us with difficulties.
It's a bright and beautiful day in Kintyre. Earlier, we had a short, sharp hail shower. Hope all is well with Bags and anyone being troubled by snow and ice. Do take special care on the roads.
For fans of my son's writing skills, he has written an interesting article in "his mag" relating to the role of women in Afghanistan. Yay!

GD was wondering yesterday if school would be closed today, a bit hopeful as the first flakes were just starting as I left their house last night

I know what I should be doing and its not sitting here on my laptop, but its snowing heavy here and I am thinking I will be returning early to school very shortly to collect the little ones if this carries on we might be snowed in. So I cant move to far from lap top in case they let us know to collect them as they are closing the school.

I enjoyed myself clearing snow off my car, then went for a walk up the steep hill behind my flat, in bright sunshine. I can understand how people get snow blindness - until my polychromatic glasses darkened, the fresh snow was completely dazzling.

Having scraped the ice off the car, I went to Manchester and took GD out to lunch. Enjoyed her company. Came home, made tea and promptly fell asleep, leaving it in the pot. Made leek and potato soup for my tea. Many good intentions not accomplished!

Friends for a long late lunch. Lovely afternoon/evening.,just washed/cleared up which was strange on my own. J and I always did it together and I suppose this is the first proper entertaining I've done since he died. Don't like it much and feel a bit down now they've all gone home
