DH is up and out of the house before 7! I think that's a first in all the time I've known him. He's off to shoot arrows at Bannockburn. Hope he has fun.
We haven't sorted a date out yet Greatnan but if it's before you are due to come over, we'll ensure we make an opportunity to meet up with you and your lovely sister, if you can fit in a long, chatty lunch!
Anno, I can distincly remember being about eight and dumping my coat on my mother on one of our rare days out. She was carrying the picnic and the coats and jumpers of all the children. I thought to myself 'I don't want to be a mum, you can't run about.' I was right! Hope you feel better soon. Where and when are you having a meeting? I will be with you in spirit.
I should be on a train home tomorrow. Sadly I have had to bow out of lunch with AlieOxon because I didn't want to give her a bad cold and also I wouldn't have been very good company today. Another time, Alie.
I spent Sunday being a camel. DS2's family were all running at Blenheim. Ds's partner successfully ran a half marathon; he ran 10K and then took the two GSs on a family fun run. And someone had to carry the coats, sweaters etc! Therefore, Granny was a camel yesterday! The boys have gone off to school to show off their medals and I am nursing a streaming cold.
Ella I had to laugh at your description of taking pics with your iPhone. Glad it's not just me . When I got mine my son's only comment was 'Do you think you're ready for an iPhone mother?'
I went to my dgd's 1st birthday (as mentioned) and had a really great time. My ex totally ignored me but didn't actually say anything unpleasant, and the rest of us enjoyed our gorgeous baby. She wore a huge pink tutu (it wore her really!) and was delightful. Everytime she toppled over (she won't walk yet) she sank gracefully to the floor in a sea of pink frills!
My dd has given me her iphone 4 which I used to take loads of pictures and videos of my chin, chest and shoes and dgd! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon!
