Happy to log on after a short break in London. I've missed you all. Have masses to catch up on. Will need to return later to tell you all about our trip. For all the pain of the journey down, it was a marvellous treat and we've returned with some sooper memories.
We don`t know yet when the garage can do the car, but hopefully we`ll get a few days nearer to home, we`ve cancelled the other site. So much for 2 weeks away from all the strife, apart from the main strife, he was coming with me!
Reflecting, ruefully, on the fact that I should now be on holiday near Berwick-upon-Tweed. We set off yesterday morning, caravan on our back, got about 30 miles up the road, and the bloomin` car broke down! AA man couldn`t get us going, so we ended up coming home, caravan and all, on the back of a tow truck, not what we had planned at all!
Welcome home holidymakers. Today DH and I get the day to ourselves, DIL's parents arrive to do a childcare stint. Yesterday the children were bouncing off the walls after having been to a party and eating chocolate, when it got really noisy their mummy put a video on and I put my coat on and came home
Good morning (well almost) zumbad for 2 mins! Exhausted! That's my exercise for the week! Got 1st load washing in, loaf in bread maker, kitchen sort of tidied, files sorted, sat down to relax turned on tv and what's on ?
I2m like you Ariadne , got 2 GS arriving today with parents ,OOOoo Mum and Dad are then off to LOndon as we only live about an hour away, away for 2 nights so we have them to ourselves for 2 nights , we all have such fun together, the real good bit is that they are all staying for another 10 days or so then they off to La Belle France , we then join them in Bordeaux for a birthday "DO"
Two little DDGs arrive today - their mummy is completely tied up with the Olympics this week so we're all mucking in - taking them down to Devon on Weds. to stay with DD and family, so they'll be wildy excited. Not only have they been to the Olympics, they have also been to the premiere of "Brave"!
Do wish their daddy would let us know when they are arriving, who's staying for what meal etc. He's been like this since he started travelling on his own (he is now 41 and has a very responsible job) - none of us ever knew where he was! Have texted...
'Mornin' All.... hoping the sunshine lasts, our little town has markets everywhere today: Flea, Artisan and general ( town centre closed off). Still catching up after brief holiday in Anglesey, looooooooong session looking after GC then visitors.Allottment and house have been neglected for far too long!
Good morning, everyone! Nice to be back home after a lovely break in N Wales. I love seeing what Life has done to my garden while I've been away. Perennial Sweet Peas budding flowers AT LAST! It has taken three years to establish itself in our thin rocky soil. I'm trying to get it to grow over the dry stone wall that stops us falling off the edge of the world just outside our front door! Honeysuckle trained over an old stump is looking great too. And the grasses and mosses are thriving, as ever.
Good morning, everyone. Have a lovely day. We're doing family things today, and I will have spent lots of time with all my children and grandchildren over the weekend.
Tomorrow, I'm looking orward to meetng Greatnan, her sister, and Annobel for lunch (sorry you won't be able to join us this time, Sewsilver)
Good morning all! Just me and Daisy the Cat sitting here at the moment. All nice and quiet - weather dull but not raining as yet. Been lying reading since 6am and Other 'arf is snoring away still.......! Have a lovely day, Gagagran and Mr Gaga!
Today (now sunday night in these parts) I have been watching the Olympics from yesterday - fantastic results; I am positively square eyed. I never thought I'd get so excited watching the Long Jump! Everyone is now watching the Rabbitoes v The Titans - local rugby teams [yawn emoticon] so I have sloped off to charge my Kindle and catch up on GN. Have been having lots of cuddles with Harriet - she is such a lovely baby and so good - unlike her 4 year old sister who I could quite easily fall out with - I've never felt put down by a 4 year old before, but I suppose there's a first time for everything
Good morning all, I am having a cup of tea only me and the little ones up this morning so as they have been fed and are off playing I thought I will wake my self up with my tea and a quick look at GN, but turned laptop on and the page opened and I thought it read Adult Conversation and not Active do you think I am spending too much time with them. I am still recovering from all the Olympic cheering yesterday. Fantastic Team GB.
Rejoicing in the fantastic day at the Olympics yesterday! Wow! Gave such a mega-boost to the spirits. Well done you golden girls and boys!
Just got "dolled up" for trip to London for family lunch to celebrate DH's 70th birthday today - going by train. All he wanted for his birthday was to see DS, DD and DGC plus a senior rail card! Think they will oblige!
