Well, they must have done some research and decided that this was a good way to ensure that they wouldn't be obliged to stage the show next year. Simples!

Does anyone know why the Beeb unilaterally decided on EH?
Please don't tell me it was because 'he goes down well' in countries like Lithuania ...they gave us 'nil point'

Every year we turn up at an event where we are warmly welcomed because we are suckers for humiliation. Nobody else wants to be the rejected kid in the playground. Will we never learn? Can the Beeb not find something better to waste shedloads of licence payers' money on? Oh. They did. The Voice. Silly me!

No, because we, as founder members, automatically qualify. If we had to we would at least be spared the humiliation, as we would never reach the final.

Well ...as there were 42 countries voting ...I assume that 16 countries didn't make it pass the semis???

So that might make us 25th out of 42??

Greece and Spain can't afford to host glassortwo, I was expecting them to sing "Buddy, can you spare a dime?"

Very disappointed with the songs this year. Really liked the Hungarian song, and the Italian one. Sweden was a good performance but didn't think that much to the song. Think I missed the German one when someone knocked on my door. A few songs, like the Serbian one were almost very good but then just lacked something. Still reckon that our song was the best song. Better get ready for the voting; nil points for us I wonder?

Germany sounds the most contemporary - vote for them, they can afford to host the next one!

Sweden or Greece to win

According to our paper, the youngest one is 53, but looks a lot older. I`d like to have watched the Eurovision for a change, but he who must be obeyed is watching the flippin` football! At least Engelbert, or Gerry Dorsey as I remember him, can`t do any worse than any of the British entrants ov er the last few years.

I've got it on in the background, but heavens, need earplugs for some of them!
