If under 16s are considered too young for sex , at what age are you considered too old ?

elizabethjoan Fri 12-Aug-11 23:09:06

Nanachrissy......congrats for getting it just right! I hope to be in your position in the foreseeable future, but can't afford to divorce just yet as family needs financial help. Still chuckling at the blue pill and sleeping pill. Unfortunately I might have worn myself out with a combination of Black Lace books and two or three vibrators (no, not at the same time!) I have the feeling that the feeling on parts down below................
As for fat fairy, yes, I do miss wanting sex, but don't want it with OG. Have sneaky feeling though that if Soul Mate were to turn up, my body might waken up! Ah.....dream on................

IF it's all right for Jane Fonda at 73 ------------------------?

greenmossgiel Thu 11-Aug-11 21:06:22

That's how it goes, though. Without the dreaded HRT we're kind of scuppered, mainly - well I am, anyway! There are other ways, though! blush

Seriously tho, my mind wants to but my body flatly refuses. I've tried oestregen pessaries, blue movies, and KY Jelly, but the result is always painful, embarrassing and upsetting for both of us. Now my lovely husband is afraid to come near me, although we love to cuddle. Any ideas out there? I never used to have any problems at all!

Bromide it was, crimson!

artygran Thu 11-Aug-11 19:36:33

It's nice to be able to still 'get it on' occasionally after 45 years... makes us both feel a bit special. There are times when it doesn't work out, but that's ok too.

crimson Thu 11-Aug-11 19:35:02

...bromide?

greenmossgiel Thu 11-Aug-11 19:25:42

DH says that the 'medicine' that they gave him when he did in his National Service days has at last started to work....I've not seen any difference, though! grinblush

nanachrissy Thu 11-Aug-11 19:23:00

I think we should all do whatever we like at our time of life! Usually we ladies(I use the term very loosely!) have looked after people most of our lives and put ourselves second, so now go for it whatever IT maybe!
Sometimes I feel like a wild session (Haha, it doesn't last long!) and sometimes it's the baggy nighty and a cup of cocoa. grin

crimson Thu 11-Aug-11 19:06:27

Post-menopausal sex = increased risk of prostate cancer and various STDs (Fact) - come on peeps - give your nether regions a rest!

numberplease Thu 11-Aug-11 17:41:21

Why do I keep gravitating to this thread?

glammanana Thu 11-Aug-11 17:24:00

I don't care who is programmed to do what and when,I've been married for nearly 40yrs and have no intention of giving up our siesta's and long week-end lie ins.
Go for it susiecb

acanthus Thu 11-Aug-11 17:08:44

If more people (of whatever age) realised that it's OK not to be sexually active there would be a lot less angst in the world! The OH and I have a loving relationship, but after 43 years, there's more to life than all that thrashing about and worrying about lubricants and whether he can or he can't..... It's a biological function - enjoyable, but why bother to keep at it? Humans are programmed to copulate in order to procreate. When we are past it - forget it!

ginny3 Thu 11-Aug-11 16:34:52

just sat reading this thread grin really made me laugh dont think your ever too old for sex just lucky if your getting anyenvy

nanny1 Thu 11-Aug-11 10:56:49

Hi fatfairy, this is an interesting quote from Marlene Dietrich:

"A man would prefer to come home to an unmade bed and a happy woman than to a neatly made bed and an angry woman."

wink

nanny1 Thu 11-Aug-11 10:52:29

No I'm not shocked :-) you go for it girl!

susiecb Thu 11-Aug-11 10:29:10

Joan Thu 11-Aug-11 05:54:48

Just thinking about 'the sex talk' that parents are supposed to give their kids. When I was a young lass, the only thing Mum told me was a hundred different versions of 'thou shalt not'.

When my sons reached that dangerous age, my only talk to them was various versions of 'Don't trust the pill, always use a condom'

How times have changed.

For the better.

Faye Thu 11-Aug-11 04:50:49

nanachrissy I like your idea very much...and to not have to listen to an OG grumbling, as men do!!!! wink smile
