I could open a chemist shop with all the ' lotions and potions' I have been prescribed and NOT ONE WORKED. Some of them prescribed by the hospital.
The only thing that worked was an implant ( think it was Tetosterone) and then my hospital stopped doing it!!!

Elenk - I was prescribed the oestrogen cream, it was great. i then had a slight bleed, which is a possible side effect. Of to women's health who confirmed I was well, but I had to come off the cream. Back to the drawing board

Re the original subject, my circumstances have changed along with my name (I used to be nanachrissy).
My 'friend with benefits' moved away just over a year ago, so I've had an unwanted break from sex.
I've been rather grumpy!

However, an old friend has just come back into my life, and we are hopefully going to put a smile on each others face

He is 71 and I am 67, so there is always hope while there's a twinkle in your eye.

Has anyone tried estrogen vaginal cream, am thinking of getting some.doctor has given me various creme to try not very successful.Dryness and itching driving me mad,came off HRT six years ago,libido non existent,wondering would this help?

Yes thanks Zephrine, woke early and couldn't get stuff out of my mind. This has been an awful week, lots of rubbish things happened. Mostly to do with other friends and family, but all stuff that time will sort out, difficult not to worry about it though. Slept better last night, some stuff already sorting itself out.
Once my brothers funeral is over on Tuesday things will be much calmer.

A lovely, slightly posh lady in my writers' group was saying she was widowed a few years ago. Someone asked her how she had coped. She said: "Oh, I miss him I suppose, but the real problem is that I never get a shag, these days."

It gave us all a laugh with her, but the truth is, not many widows admit this problem. She is a nice looking woman in her late 60s/early 70s, so I'm a bit surprised she hasn't had any offers - or fanciable ones anyway.
